I don't understand why people put so much power on sub's,all you need is a really good amp that matches the maximum power the sub's are rated at,then as ohm load drops the amp's are going to produce more than max rating on the sub's

You should look into what's called impedance rise. because you are incorrect. Impedance only goes up not down

You should always get an amp that puts out 25-50% more than sub rating. I have two subs at 4500 rms each I have 12k going to them. With box rise I’m about 5500-5700 on each sub, which is right about 25% over rated power.
