This is so awesome. P Roach has been my favourote band for so long. In his earlier songs you could hear him fight with god ("I see you on your cloud, looking down. I'm on my knees today, but you don't notice me. I'm screaming while i pray. I am sick of you, god, I am done with you." - My heart is a fist) I think he's been through a lot of crap so it encourages me a lot when I see this now. It shows how God lets you find him and forgives you, no matter what you did or who you are. Love this.

Omg This is sooooo amazing......Jacoby Shaddix has always been my favorite singer, but I never imagined him coming to God. This is an absolute miracle.....this nearly had me in tears. Now I can add this to my list for reasons he's my favoriteXD God can do wonderful things! God bless you Jacoby. I hope some day he realises a worship album or maybe Papa Roach realises a more christian themed album. I started fanboying so hard when I saw thisXD God will do great things with you Jacoby. Words can not explain the hope that Jacoby Shaddix gives me. The music he writes and the way he expresses himself, shows me that I'm not feeling this stuff alone. He helped save my life when I was in my darkest place, and now he always shows me that it may be hard, but as long as you have God and hold onto who and what you love, nothing can bring you down. praise god im far from perfect know one is we all need jesus from billy grahm to the pope me and this man which happens to be one of my favorite bands from way back to see this encourages me and my walk with god the new music is touching as well not as heavy but its more about the message god bless papa roach

Here's what i would have to say to this.. As a Christian i am always usually weary when it comes to certain things as far as conversions with "celebrity" status people only for the fact that a handful of churches have used that as a way to bring more people into the church for the wrong reasons. For example, (and only from what i've gathered or seen) someone like Steve Harvey who i saw became saved but he now seems to be moving down a path of the prosperity gospel type thinking. However, that doesn't mean that celebrities can't get saved. From what i've heard Jacoby say it truly sounds like he was honestly saved by God's grace. What we should do as the Church is pray for him, his family and band, in hopes that satan will lose any influence or grip over his life and that those deep wounds and besetting sins God would graciously remove and fill with Himself. One thing that wearied me is seeing some of his recent songs with cursing, but for the Church to keep in mind that the moment a person is saved they dont change overnight. Some people, God has delivered from things or changed them almost immediately but for most it can be a long and strenuous process to overcome the "self" and sin nature. God see's a mans heart, we see the outside. All we can do is pray and edify Jacoby to keep perservering in the faith, use your body for righteousness not sin, and love the Lord with all your heart, mind and soul. C.S. Lewis once said about obtaining any virtue is that we may fail over and over again, as it is God training us in our will to keep getting up and trying again. Realizing we can never succeed without Him. With each failure we confess and ask forgiveness, pick ourselves up and keep moving forward. Every failure is already forgiven in Christ. (Romans8:1) The danger is when we become complacent with our sin and stop fighting and sit down. There is great power in prayer, and if we only could see in the spiritual realm how effective our prayers are against satan and his demonic forces would be pray all the more. Jacoby, if you ever read this, know you are in a daily war against not only yourself, but the world and the devil. But fear not, because He (christ) that is in you is greater than he (satan) that is in the world. The Holy Spirit Himself is living inside you and God loves you. No matter how dark things may get or how dark it may feel on the inside, press into God who is Light and He will shine His light into those dark hidden areas and dispel the darkness. Press on to holiness. Press into Jesus and soak in His grace. He loves you. We as the church love you. And may the God of all grace keep you, and bless you, and keep you from stumbling.

I have been trying so hard to get sober. I'm currently staying in a hotel because my wife kicked me out of our house, and doesn't want me around our daughter. I have Christ in my heart, but my addiction is outweighing my faith and any feelings of love. If my brother in Christ, Jacoby, can get thru it, I know I can too. I grew up fatherless, poor and lost. I am now a father, supporting his family, and know I have the love of the Lord and the love of my wife and daughter, but I have to get better. Please send me your prayers. Please leave a light on for me.
