@@FragFreak Oud Edition was the first fragrance I bought and immediately thought "I'm in over my head and this isn't for me..." my brain kept flashing thoughts of "How does anyone like this?" and "I will never like this." Then, about an hour later I started smelling my wrist and couldn't stop for the rest of the day. It was my first exposure to Middle eastern-style fragrances and oud. I wore it on the bus one day and didn't realize it's true sillage potential until I was sitting in close quarters and everyone was staring at me. Note to self: Hold my horses on the trigger, Tex.

Bogart makes great scents depending on your attitude. My fave is pour homme I’m on my 3rd bottle. Then it’s one man show gold and Arabian nights. For price they cannot be beaten

i have the ruby Production date 2016-10. its weak and watered down. i guess i got the reformulated edition. also bought the OMS gold edn together with the ruby and its like wow. sprayed it on my shirt at 5pm and went out. got a couple of head turns. came home aroung 8pm and hung my shirt on the chair in the living room and went out to buy groceries. the windows were still closed in my home. when i returned home with groceries around 845pm, could smell the OMS gold the moment i opened the door. i was about 4 meters away from where the shirt was hanging. practically my whole living room smelt of OMS gold. im not sure of the OMS gold batch but i suspect it should be a 2015 or 2016 based on when i purchased it. if i did get the reformulated version then i cant imagine how strong the original one is.

I wore it to shift furniture in during the hot spell last summer and I didn't need to introduce myself to my new neighbours. That stuff did it for me while I was still two miles out and inbound with the removal van. The start of happy times.

You sprayed 10 sprays of a Jacques Bogart scent. I'm surprised you still exist. I put one spray of Jacques Bogart pour Homme on and it lasted hours. I've just ordered Silver Scent Intense, please keep me in your thoughts and my impending loss of nostrils. I love the scents, but they are deceptive as EDTs, most parfums don't have this level of performance. It makes Bentley Intense EDP blush and that's so powerful it has its own bodybuilding gym, speakeasy rum bar and cigar humidor built into the bottle.

awesome review man... but we bangladeshi young man here in saudi we don't like one man show. Since every bangladeshi old man would only buy open roger and gallet or one man shows... however 2-3 years back as i was buying inventories for my dads market I tested gold edition and loved it. Years later now i am gonna buy it. I have for 8-9 perfumes in a span of 2-3 months. More on the way!

I own the Gold Edition. It is the strongest fragrance I ever owned. It is the only fragrance out there that can outperform Lapidus por homme. I love the smell which is a good job because you can still smell it 2 days later after 2 showers. It is an absolute beast!

@@shaherharden9636 Much stronger, although on my skin Joop Homme only lasts about 2 hours. A spray from the same bottle lasts 16 hours on my mate so it must be related to my skin chemistry. He can't wear OMS GE because he says it's completely overpowering but on me OMS GE massively outperforms Joop Homme.

Is Gold Edition similar to Ted Lapidus or Kouros? Like in the same group?? I want an 80's powerhouse kinda fragrance. Does this smell like an 80's macho frag?? lol

Hi CiReal! Maybe sort of in the same ballpark but not really a similar scent. I find Kouros and Lapidus Pour Homme both animalic, musky, dirty, uber-masculine and floral. OMS Gold Edition is those things as well but is much more spicy and dark. Lots of bitter apple and sort of burnt cinnamon. It’s quite soapy as well. Absolutely amazing stuff but very strange and definitely not your typical people pleaser. I love it but I can imagine it being very polarising. It’s a bit difficult to describe to be honest. Hope to have been some help!

@@FragFreak wow! Great input! You really described it unlike anyone else I've talked to. So if I'm open minded to stuff like Kouros, then i probably will like the Gold Edtion then. Some other reviewer said it has a Dior Fahrenheit petrol note to it, do you agree with this? I love Fahrenheit so much!

Hi sir! Yeah, I have Bogart Pour Homme and Bogart Signature too. Pour Homme is legendary and Signature is great too but not as versatile in my opinion. I got my OMS Oud Edition from FragranceX, a US website with very good prices and a fantastic way to get your frags without getting badly stung for import tax. Unfortunately, they don't have it in stock at the moment but you can get notified if they get it back in. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!

I was checking FragranceX today and found 6 of JB I would like to get, but I'm afraid EU customs and tax would make them more expensive then I expect. I have Silver Scent and it makes me think I will buy every other fragrance they have, with time of course. I think Silver Scent Pure should be excellent for hot weather.
