I adore the Shock in Scent perfume. It is sweet and almondy and it lasts about 12 hours on my skin. Even my hubby compliment me on my perfume and tell me I smell really nice, what are you wearing!!

I owned the scandal one, but love honey note so much I found a deal on the police shock in scent and just purchased it as per your recommendation. If I end up liking it more than scandal I won't have to keep buying the more expensive one. Thanks for the recommendation

I love JPG Scandal, mostly for the beeswax note in the drydown. I guess Shock in scent doesn't have that, but I found a good deal for it, around 8£ and after your review I'm really tempted!

🙂 Thanks mate! Yeah, the men's one is good too. Not a direct clone of anything but similar to quite a few others on the market. Blue, aquatic, citrus, floral and sweet. A little 'generic' feeling but nice enough with good performance. It's an EDP.

I've received the police in shock one so I now own both. I'd say the opening smell almost identical. The difference I notice is in time the police develop into a darker more mysterious scent, whereas the scandal one smells more light hearted and sweeter. I also pick up on a strong almond note in the police. Can't say which I prefer at the moment as its only been an hr since I've sprayed it. I shall update. :)

Please do update Sarah! Yeah, I get the almond note in the Police one as well. Maybe a tiny hint of Hypnotic Poison by Dior. Speaking of which, Police do a woman’s fragrance which is very similar to Hypnotic Poison but WAY stronger. It’s called Forbidden.

Update: *I find whilst both have honey nuances, jpg scandal has a more syrupy sticky honey, whereas police had the sweetness but not the stickiness. *Police lasted longer on me; Long on skin, and even longer on clothes. *Police had more personality to it. It had a mysterious, darker seductive side. Jpg scandal felt sunnier and brighter. *Police developed and changed with time, it had distinctively different top middle and base notes, and had 3.different smells. JPG inspite being the considered chypre, stayed the same throughout, but got weaker. *Police has fewer fragrance notes and should be less complicated of the two, but I'm practical terms, it turned out to be more complex and multi dimensional of the two. *Police had an almost violet undertone to it the more it developed on the skin (not sure which note was responsible for this. Update: turns out the base note orris root has violet flowers, which smell like violet without the sweetness). It is now the first day of owning and having worn it, and at work, all my colleagues stopped and asked what that smell was and enquired about my Police in scent perfume. One even went home and ordered it for herself. And this is only day one. I hardly ever get feedback on fragrances that I wear, so this seems to be a success so far. I may update this further. This is in case someone is interested in ordering police in the future. I noticed there was very minimal info and reviews on police Shock in scent, and I'd personally have liked to have had more to go by, so it may prove to be useful to others. Also, may I suggest you make a more in depth video on police shock in scent? Yours is the only video out there.

Hi sotos. To my nose they are both very very feminine but that doesn’t mean that they are not wearable by a man. I happily wear Ange au Demon by Givenchy and that is actually quite girly. There are quite a few others like this I will wear and I am of the firm belief that if you like the smell of a fragrance and you want to wear it, then you should wear it. If you asked me to chose one of these to wear, it would probably be Scandal because of the more pronounced patchouli note. Come to think of it, I may give it a try. As long as the wife lets me of course! 😂 Thanks for watching xx
