beautiful music! why isn't this played in all the auditoriums? the repertoire for organ and orchestra is so little that this should deserve more attention. a really fine work!

The instrument that can blast the whole orchestra out of the water has to be treated with respect. I think this work accomplished that.

Without wishing to sound as if I`m looking down on people or "popular music - whatever that title signifies, I`m so grateful that this kind of music exists. We ought to hear more of this - along with my favourites, such as Arnold Bax, Hindemith, and Honnegger, for starters!

splendide! la musique de Jacques Hétu n'est pas assez connue. Go and look for his many concertos for flute basson etc.. and for' Sur les berges du Saint Maurice' as an hommage to Trois-Rivières where he (and I) were born and raised.

Es algo grandioso, comienza como en algunas sinfonías de Prokofiev o Shostakovich, los violines en notas tenidas pero luego llega la magia, lo original, lo que no había escuchado hasta ahora, ese timbre sublime, sea combinación de sonidos absolutamente sobrecogedor: EL ÓRGANO! Cómo no se te ocurrió Prokofiev! Rautavaara! y con más delito: cómo no se le ocurrió a Messiaens que era organista! Pues bien, este debe ser uno de los poquísimos conciertos para órgano y, desde luego, hace honor a este conjunto musical. Las partes virtuosas del órgano con la orquesta de acompañamiento son sublimes. No obstante he de confesar que hay partes aburridas, no mantiene el interés y la emoción a lo largo de toda la obra, por momentos dan ganas de quitar el audio y pasar a otra cosa, pero con un poco de paciencia llegan esos momentos sublimes y no decepcionan.

Ce fut donné à la Maison symphonique (avec grand effet) dimanche dernier 9 novembre 2014. On aimerait bien un enregistrement CD en bonne et due forme (les micros d'enregistrement étaient douloureusement absents dimanche).
