I always remember after match speeches by Todd Blackadder and Ma'a Nonu as AB captains... What hard players they were and always humble in victory, there were few defeats but even then they were soft spoken and humble! But Siya and Nienaber and Rassie, with that team, carry the hopes of a nation in despair! Can you imagine that kind of pressure? I passionately hope and pray the Boks win, but thanx for your lovely and positive message....

Siya’s response when asked about Tom Curry’s family receiving abuse 👏🏽👏🏽 he’s probably one of the most classiest and inspirational rugby players I’ve ever seen. Whenever we lose against the Boks, it always makes me feel better watching Siya talk afterwards. What a bloke.

Just wish he could be as inspiring on the field by firing the lads up! Great figure, cool headed captain, but my fuck he needs to learn how to start to scream and shout and galvanise the boys when we're going through a slump.

The team is experienced and all B know their roles , as Siya has made clear so elegantly. He is not the other players superior.. they are and he is just a piece of the puzzle . These are all warriors and have the fight in them with our screaming . P.s could hang less on his knees though , but workrate in play is solid lately

@@njabulomaphumulo8099 Well his calm way did nothing against England or France. He doesnt have to scream our shout, but he needs to metaphorically slap some fire into the guys. Look at everytime we win a penalty at the scrum or breakdown how pumped Bongi gets and starts to chest and slap the guys. THATS what we need from the captain when our guys are in the gutter.

Rassie's coaching career started in 2004 at the Free State Cheetahs and moved through the ranks even overseas (Munster) till where he is today. I believe that he knows what he is doing. He has the best supporting staff in this world cup. South Africa should trust his decision and after all if we loose, he is just human. Winning can only take us so far and unless we continue to win, the only way is down. Losing affords us the gift of ascending the ladder of excellence while developing strength of character. It forces us to question our motives and many times we return stronger than before. Go Bokke!!!

Full marks for SA for using the given IRB rules to get the maximum effect from the player resources they have to try and get a win. But, having almost all forwards stacking the reserve’s bench and coming on, and playing to the set piece, is sort of turning the game of Union into more of a game of League or even in the style of American football. Would love to see the Boks get back to the open play that they are also good at. With historical great open game players like Danie Gerber, Habana, et al.

About the options for New Zeland 1) play with three quarters and put the ball away from forwards 2) forwards charges in ditection of Pollard 3 ) kicking high balls to Kolbe and Arendse Only at second half they begin more systematically to open the game and created some pressure to "our" boys. The WC final will be won by who hits the hardest, thinks the sharpest and outlasts the other. My gut instincts say the Boks are coming with Cannons, the ABs are coming in with drones firing missiles. The ABs peaking and ready to die, the Boks badly fatigued and totalled by their schedule which has been INSANE wiping out scot, tong, france, nz ive lost count. Can they get up one last time? Of course they can BUT Ellis Park showed what happens when the ABs start doing the vacuum cleaner approach on the Boks, sucking them in and finding spaces. Mostert, Eben, Bongi, Peter etc are huge huge guys who arnt made to run and the ABs are all about the running game. I wish the Boks all the best, if they can do it, will be brilliantly deserved. They'd earned it. My head tells me though...go watch that Mounga break releasing Jordan v Ireland, you just cannot defend that. Like Arendse and Colbe cannot be defended. Only one issue, colby and kurt are easily eliminated from the game like a 2/10 😂 England showed. Mounga is our playmaker who can run, if he gets nailed, Beaudy takes over, if he gets nailed, Jordy takes over... Let's see who wants it more.

Boks will have to play out of their skins to beat this AB side at this point (especially given our tough road to the final). I'm worried because our forwards have not dominated in any of the big games (Ireland, France, England) in this RWC so don't really see where we are going to have an advantage in this game. Maybe in the scrums but I'm not convinced we will overpower the AB scrum, unlikely. Anyways, I had the AB's as RWC winners before the tournament but we can always hope for something special from the Boks...

Every team and situation demand a certain tactic. Libbok is great and brings a flair to South African play that few can match, but the tactic South Africa had chosen against England just didn't work, and that didn't have anything to do with Libbok, he was just the first one to be subbed for South Africa to try to change their game approach. Before long, half the backs had been swapped, and SA used all their bench by early in the 2nd half. Even then their approach did not work great, since you can't really swap only 4-5 players and play a completely different approach. But it did help, and eventually it got the win. I think SA is preparing for a grindy final, and perhaps some players fit better in that approach than others.

A World Cup Final is not the time to go with a 7-1 split on the bench. What happened in Twickenham at the end of August is irrelevant and if one team in the World who learn from defeat, its NZ. 4 Scrum Halves in the squad and 1 makes the 23. If Faf get injured after 10 min Kolbe plays 9 for 70. This will backfire spectacularly for the Boks. Allblacks by 10

Their finals opponent isn't Japan, it's the All Black's. 6 of their 7 backs have to play 80 minutes. It doesn't matter if they have players who can slot into multiple positions they'll still be running on empty. If this is what SA call innovation then good luck to them

as daft as it was. He heard 'wit kant' which in English tongue sounds bad just because of the kant part so he had the right to complain about verbal abuse. Still confused how he heard white tho, or how it was clearly a different language being spoken.

Abuse doesn't belong in the game of rugby. Things are done in the heat of the moment and we shouldn't be holding such events over people's lives for perpetuity. We don't need players and their family getting threats. That kind of behavior belongs in football/soccer. Actually it should never exist. But we've grown accustomed to this behaviour among the illiterate hooligans in football. World Rugby needs to make a stand and as fans we owe it to the game, the players and ourselves to keep our emotions in check and leave it on the field.

@@cosmic_diver yeah well said IF THERE ACTUALLY WAS ABUSE IN GAME . But there wasn’t … and it’s equally abusive to make false accusations on another player knowing it could shadow the rest of his career . You think Tom curry didn’t know what he was doing ??? He knew , he wanted to stir up shit and throw South Africa off . How many times has he played against the boks hearing those commands being shouted dozens of times , how many South Africans has he played with over the years hearing Afrikaans through out the year at club rugby etc ??
