I was a huge fan of the Knight Rider TV series from back in the day. Having said that, this Jada Toys Hollywood Rides Knight Rider Kitt die cast car is really cool. The light up feature is definitely a nice touch. I appreciate the fact that doors as well as the hood and trunk open up. With that aside, thanks again Spot!

Didn't K.I.T.T. always have the t-top sunroof? They'd open up so the ejector seats could be used! It was used twice in the pilot I think. Thanks for the great review! I passed up the opportunity to buy this when I saw it in a store once and now I kinda wish I hadn't. I'll definitely be getting one~ I do have Jada's 1:32 scale K.I.T.T., which isn't _as_ nice, but is still very good and a nice size for fidgeting with at my desk. Oh yeah, they're also releasing a K.A.R.R. version of the 1:24 now!

It's a great looking piece Spot! I dream one day a company will bless us with a Street Hawk model. You need to get someone to print you out the proper license plate for Kitt. You must know someone who can whip it up in sticker form duder.

I have just recently got the Jada 1:24 scale Diecast and I am absolutely made up with it, the detail of the car is just spot on and really like the working scanner light, looks just sick. I grew up watching knight rider and never missed a single episode. I also have the Jada 1:32 scale knight rider and that model is really cool to. I’ve got a few Jada Diecast models now, and my next Jada model to get is the Ecto 1 Ghostbusters.

Such an awesome show growing up! Jada did a sweet job on KITT. I love the t top sun roof and the famous cylon style light is a very cool addition to this already awesome car. It's nice that the doors open and the interior looks pretty good. Also cool the hood and trunk open. Great review and stellar car. Thanks again Spot!

The issue I have with this model is that it sits way too low. KITT was never a car that was tuned in the sense that it had shorter springs for a lower ride height. Also, the gear selector in this car is wrong. Everybody remembers Hasselhoff putting his hand on the horizontal gear shifter to shift into Drive :). And yes, obviously the license plate is a problem.

Will Jada Toys release an issue that comes with a Michael Knight action figure ?? Only Diamond Select did it and the scale came out of the car and the doll came out wrong Great review, I love Knight Rider since I was five and I watch it today

Scanner only lights up when the doors are open. Who's bright idea at Jada toys was that? 🤦‍♂️ They could've at least gotten the license plate right but they didn't too. Very disappointed with this release to be honest.

Except it's not. This is more accurate to late season 2. Throughout season 1, KITT had grills in his nose covering up the fog lights. There were also 3 on each side, not 2. It wasn't until late in season 2 that they transitioned to using a newer nose that didn't have the grills and had 2 lights on each side.

OMG...I have enough Kitts and karrs.... Have them both in Hot Wheels premium collections which cost me a pretty penny...and I have them also in diamond select versions... which also was a nice little chunk of change! Now if they would do a version of the Knight Industries 4000 ...from Knight Rider 2000 ..Color Me interested.😄

Ok this review on Jada Toys Kinght Rider is good thing for my to know that jada has at least done nice job with kitt so far but i do wish they are working on karr season 3 witch is the more recognized version of karr so help my pop culture fans in getting it happen soon or later any way that it for so see you later.

I have to say I think it is a completely boneheaded decision that the scanner only activates when the door opens. Who would want to display/play with it with an open door?! A disgrace the "KNIGHT" license plate decal isn't included either. It's a distinguishing characteristic of the character. I could live with KITT's voice modulator not lighting up or detail, although that's annoying as well. I wish this was the Seasons 3-4 dashboard which received a facelift and a more high tech look without the white stripes. As it stands, this version would be accurate to the Season 3 2-part premiere "Knight Of the Drones" before KITT is destroyed and gets the upgraded dash. That is the only point the front blinker blackouts are included with four white fog lights (the nose was slightly modified each season). On the positive side, the overall mold and paint finish look beautiful and clean. And I do love the later fog light look over the bumper grills covering them.

Kitt was never going to be a Datsun that's an old ass internet rumor. Glen A Larson wrote a autobiography that states this is only a rumor. He didn't have any other car in mind. The train wreck that got universal all the cars happened after the pilot wrapped production.

Great model, but is it just me, but the wheels look too high in the wheel arches, as though it's been "slammed down", the wheels should fit within the arches perfectly. I absolutely love KITT, what a glorious car! I utterly love those wheels.

Jada's problem is they make every car like it's a low rider or tuner car. The car should be higher off the ground from the tires

Absolutely right. The Jada model sits much too low on the wheels, and the wheels are also too sunken into the arches, ie the track is too narrow. It’s a shame that they made such a silly mistake with the model, as it otherwise seems fairly accurate.
