I have never had real friends and people still tell me that the reason for this is that I'm always alone, but what they don't know is that loneliness helped me learn three languages and I'm about to learn my fourth language, it helped me learn how to draw, sing, love to read and play Guitar and piano and create animated videos. in my opinion being alone , it's a gateway to learn more about yourself and your abilities>.thank you so much for the video you're awesome:)

In 2020 my mental health worsened and I started relying on other people more and more. It recently hit me that my only happiness comes from talking and hanging out with my friends. I know I found the right people but I also know that I am dependent on them which I don't want to be. I can't even fall asleep without listening to something to distract myself because I really don't like being alone. So yesterday I decided I will take my first ever social media break and also some time away from my friends just so I can learn to appreciate time by myself. I stumbled upon your video and it really helped me be hopeful about being able to do this instead of being scared. thank you

i feel like i should get used to being alone, since i feel like im becoming somewhat toxic and really attached to people, i dont want to hurt them so im going to try and isolate from my friends and just enjoy my own company and just improved myself, ive tried doing this before, but as i said, im easily attached and i get scared that i'll be forgotten. this helped a lot, thank you
@plutosstrawberries3 жыл бұрын
@Chertsey Nermal hey :)) im doing much better now i believe and im out of that rabbit hole. it was defo lockdown which made me feel isolated and depressed, with too many moments of self reflection to the point where you overthink everything. one thing that helped was that i started journaling and writing down any negative thoughts i had, having them written on paper made me realise how toxic some of it was, but i learnt not to beat myself up since we're human and can never be perfect, acknowledging my thoughts helped with addressing my toxicity, i tried getting into the habit of journaling about good and happy things as well, also just doing things that make you happy such as painting, watching a show, etc.
@plutosstrawberries3 жыл бұрын
@Chertsey Nermal im much more used to being in my own company now :) i dont feel so reliant on others, i think what was different back then, and now, is that now i realise that there will be someone there for me even when i think there wont be

I'm fine with being alone. It even made me feel proud bc I realized that some people or my friends are afraid to go places(even if it's nearby) alone. But, what I'm afraid about it is other people's views of me, especially if it's someone who knows me. I'm afraid they will think that I'm weird or a loner.. But I'm totally fine being alone if everyone's a stranger

I absolutely love this video! As a student in university who just finished their first year without having the chance to make new friends because of online school, it was really difficult for me to deal with FOMO especially when I saw my other classmates living in dorms having fun on Instagram and I could not help but think of how lonely I was. It wasn't until I realize being alone isn't so bad after all. Yes, I may not be going to parties and hanging out with friends every day, but I still got a few people that I can trust and talk to. I 100% agree with your point that the right people will come when it's meant to be. Having that kind of mindset is so helpful and will get you a long way in life. ❤️

I won’t lie, it becomes a habit opening up the apps & I found myself instinctively reaching for the phone when bored. 2 months later & I’ve had time to learn new habits, read more & enjoy the outdoors. Even forgot my phone at home one day when I went to work 😂 I think we all need to disconnect sometimes to be able to reconnect with ourselves.

I'm happier to live alone. I have God and although he is not someone physically around I have someone to talk to without having someone back to shout at me for not doing things their way or doing it at all. or have any form of negative feedback. If I live alone I can make my own plans feel the way I feel and certainly not negative to do my own thing and not worry of others. Go out meet a friend twice a week or do something to leave my environment other than going for a walk. Your advice is perfect. Thank you for sharing that.

@victorialim4 жыл бұрын
ask yourself: why do you feel being alone? is it the fear of judgement? If it is, I promise, no one is looking at you, because everyone is too busy their own thing! and if it helps, maybe go to a cafe where you know you won't meet anyone you know to try! I think it always starts out feeling a bit uncomfortable, but the more you do it, the more natural it feels. after a while, it will feel like second nature :) speaking from experience! all the best :)

When I was your age I would frequently go out to eat by myself. Just a local McDonalds but I still sat by myself and enjoyed my meal. You have to love yourself enough not to care about others around you. Forty years later, what did it matter? Who even remembers seeing me eating by myself? No one. Just do it and enjoy your own company. You won't regret it.
@DakodaS2463 жыл бұрын
Make sure the activities you do alone are truly enjoyable for you. If they are something you only find partial enjoyment with then you will be less motivated to go and will back out more often. Even when the activity you are doing is alone it takes a lot of motivation and dedication to yourself that you want to go do the activity despite how uncomfortable or awkward you may feel. It gets more natural over time and you will find more things your interested in doing that you realise if you do it with others it actually makes you upset because if you were alone you wouldnt have to compromise on things you didnt want to compromise on and felt you had to so you could enjoy the person being there. With that in mind though, everything has a balance. Compromise in a relationship is healthy.

Thank you. I left facebook 2 years ago, changed my career, pursuing my passion right now. I'm pretty satisfied with the fact that I found my passion, but I've been feeling weird lately and missing someone, even though I know I'm complete and whole in my deepest truth .

Thank you for sharing/uploading this. Ive been feeling isolated and wanting to isolate for the longest time now. I want to isolate feel comfortable being alone but I do not find joy with this feeling and the steps I took to do just that. You have discussed great points that kind of lifted weights off of my mind and my emotions. Thank you!
