Interestingly enough JJK seems to be using domains (at least partially) as an expression of Confidence. Jogo not using his domain after Losing his confidence, Yuki also not using her domain because she lacked confidence, Megumi unlocking his domain after abandoning Mahoraga as an option and gaining some confidence in his abilities etc. So it's very fitting that Hakari fights strictly using Domains

As Gojo told Megumi that theres a difference between "winning by dying or winning even if you die", Hakari takes the latter choice. He doesn't care much for what will happen to him because at the moment, all that matters is the fever and he's gonna ride that high no matter where it takes him.

Hakari allows himself to reach his full potential faster much like Sukuna because they both let loose solely for the sake of the fight. They don’t care about who is caught in the crossfire. Specially if it comes at the cost of them having fun during a fight. That is why uraume compared Hakari to that of a special grade Curse. Because hakari does not think nor operate like a sorcerer trying to protect life. Rather like a monster, hell bent on causing as much destruction as possible. It really only seems as if those who pick themselves over others are the ones who grow. Essentially selfishness. Todo showed up to help Yuji and lost his hand and CT because of it. Yuki chose to sacrifice herself for others instead of fighting for herself and she died even though she could have won against kenjaku. Every time Yuji fought to save others, Yuji always ended up losing and being in a far worse spot than previously. Mei mei chose to ditch shibuya and ended up on a vacation in Malaysia while good hearted individuals like nanami died. Gojo chose to focus on building the next generation of sorcerers and ended sliced in half. Those who are not inherently selfish or who do not choose themselves over others end up paying the price.

Yuta created a curse that harbored a human soul against there will so they wouldn’t leave. Which happened to be his childhood friends soul. Even if it was unknowingly. And Even though that soul technically moved on in the end, Yuta still has access to the Curse spirit. So ig my point is, would Yuta have as much control over his power if he never managed to subconsciously bind his childhood friend rika’s soul to a curse to create what is now known as “rika the queen of curses”? Idk, I don’t think yuta would be where he is now power wise if it wasn’t for Rika in a way. Because she ultimately helps him control his CE more efficiently. So maybe yuta hasn’t lost a fight because he made this selfish act early on.

I mean, I love Hakari's ability and his character, and I understand why his ability thematically uses gambling order to gain massive profit. However, from a lore perspective it makes 0 sense for him to land constant jackpots, unless his ability has a clouse like the one used on comedian, where Hakari can hit jackpots as long as he believes he will hit them. This is not a new point, and doesn't need to be a reason to disslike Hakari, but I did want to mention it since I believe it is one of the few flaws of an otherwise great designed character.

Do u think hakari hasn’t been using his actual cursed technique? Personally I do. Idle death gamble is his DE, and its effect is similar to that of the info dump from Gojo, in the fact that he only uses it within his domain (not talking abt injecting the rules into his opponents head, im talking abt his jackpot). I think his CT is specifically something along the lines of the pachinko machine itself. He uses random doors against yuji and the manga artist. He didn’t use any technique against Kashimo, and I think it’s because he wanted to only use the technique against Kashimo if he would do the same. Kashimo was only using raw CE in his fight, so hakari did the same. I think he can create doors to trap opponents and the balls as distractions as his basic abilities. Among other things, that’s my theory at least.
