I know I'm going to sound like a literal crazy person when saying this, but when his album came out, I thought it'd be a good time to finally listen to him (he was on my 'artists to listen to list' for a LONG time, and I just got around to it). From a few songs from his other two albums combined, this one seems very truthful and definitely more 'Jaden' (if you get me). Ever since then, I just fell in love with his music and forgot how much I had loved him when I was a kid. Hearing him bloom into the person he desires to be is so beautiful. For example, for someone being known as Jada and Will's son growing up, he's built his own entire empire since. He doesn't professionally go by his last name (it's now just only 'Jaden'), and now when I hear of Jaden, I don't immediately think "Oh Jaden Smith! That's Will's/Jada's son!" no, I just think of "'Jaden.' Jaden himself, Jaden the musician." Lately, I've been secretly dealing abt finding my own identity and being comfortable with myself, and hearing Jaden's glo up has inspired me so much to create mine. He's such a beautiful person all around mannnnnn it isn't deep but fuck this is actual perfection

To this day, this performance is my comfort video, my replacement of the suicide hotline, my heart. just means a lot to me and is overall an important video to me. Along with a few others. Whenever I'm crying, my mind moving fast, I'm feeling stuck and dont know what's wrong with me, feeling lost, can't sleep, numb, just frustrated with life. This video right here... never fails to sooth me and helps me sort my head out. Everytime I watch it I replay it so many times. So I wanna thank this man right here and some more of my favorite artists for keeping me alive. Literally.
