this might be the most equitable and humble staging of a band I've ever seen. Instead of placing the lead singer out front, Willow placed herself upstage in a semi-circle with her pianist and drummer downstage (closer to the audience). Such a lovely and beautiful display of musicianship and collaboration.

Absolutely💯 Was thinking the same. Willow seems like an old soul. She’s already won half the battle by accepting who she is and who she’s not, which ain’t always an easy feat. Some go their whole lives without being able to accomplish that. I ❤ that’s she’s made her own lane separate from her famous family. Her talent speaks for itself. It’s like I’m proud of her🤭… Just❤this for her.

Willow smith is a talented artist, “looking for her joy” is one way to put it. But her music is so meaningful to me it’s like finding yourself accepting yourself trusting the flow of your life to vibrate high regardless of negativity, healing your mental trusting life as you experience it through your eyes. Taking time with yourself in solitude, being patient with yourself Is the way I would describe willows music to me that’s how her songs makes me feel it’s inspiring. I love Willow down. 💚ok bye.

If anyone was fearful about the lack of musicianship in modern pop music, this performance and these players should allay their fears. Fantastic composition, arrangement, etc... and the band!!! Definitely worthy of a Grammy win this year. Nice stage setup as well, showcasing the band members usually in the back at the front stage. I hope she can keep this lineup for awhile cause this band just slayed that performance and I would like to keep hearing and watching this team for a long time to come.

Reminds me of John Coltrane and Led Zeppelins Kashmir! Willows voice is like a soulful jazzy version of Rihanna! AMAZING MUSIC! That bassist, MOHINI DEY, is low key one of the best in the world by the way. Cant help but think her journey into her African heritage led to this sound! Sometimes you have to look back to see the path forward. This live version blows her album version out of the water, I think she should record it again.

Jazz Quartets were changed by the revolutionary free jazz that coltrane and miles helped to start, breaking free of old traditional bebop and swing jazz, for a more spiritual and free form music. Coltrane and Miles are both legends in the jazz world but coltrane to me is an unsung hero. He is like jimi hendrix on saxophone, he was the greatest that ever lived, and died too soon.

I listen to music all the time, and I found the tone of her voice is a lot like hers, she would be a good vocal coach for her to take a more Popular approach to that style of voice. Their natural singing voice is a similar tone.
