Jaden Rashada is the next sad name in a long list of players who were controlled and ruined by their greedy parents. Cam Newton, Reggie Bush, Lonzo Ball, the list goes on from there. Except in this case, a LA lawyer was shopping this kid around. They had a deal with Miami and they immediately went to UF and tried to get them to up the ante, like an auction. No here is where is all goes sideways for the legal battle: 1. They didn’t allege breach of contract.. the claimed fraud. Burden of proof is on the Rashada team. All the collective has to do is claim they thought they could raise the money and were in discussions in good faith. All Napier has to prove is he wasn’t collaborating with the collective to lie to Rashada. They are hoping that discovery someone will provide something that makes their case. One last note…..notice how quick they were to throw Smart under the bus and even acknowledge that this attorney is having regular access to UGA HC and access to the facilities…Should tell you a little more about them. Think Kirby thought he would be dragged in.

I spoke to a former Gator who told me he's kind of happy it played out the way it did because even with all of the negative publicity, it's better than paying that much for a HS QB lol

Billy will keep his job for 2 reasons: 1. His contract: which states that he has to be paid 50% of his buyout with 30 days of termination. So you can't go the normal route of extending out the time frame and making it palpable. 2. The schedule: yes, its arguably the toughest in the country. Also, next year will be almost the same schedule, just flipping the home/away. So next year will be just as tough. What coach are you gonna get to take over a team (presumably coming off of a losing season if Billy is fired), try to keep current talent and attract more high level talent, knowing you'll also be going into another gauntlet of a schedule.

JRashada couldn’t even beat out the QBs at AZ St last year and this spring. His outlook at GA a looks like Redshirt and sue Fla bc I doubt he’ll beat out the plethora of 5 star and top 4 star QBs GA always signs.

I'm not a lawyer either, but the standard - the burden of proof - in civil court is not "beyond a reasonable doubt," which it would be in a criminal court case. Instead its a "preponderance of evidence," i.e., more likely than not, more than 50%. And by the way, if I'm not mistaken, conspiracy is a felony - a criminal case. So if there is probable cause - a third standard of evidence - to believe that a conspiracy occurred, then the three defendants can be arrested and charged with - and potentially tried for - the felony conspiracy charge. So people need to be real careful about what they accuse or allege, because if someone knowingly reports a crime that did not occur, that, too, is a crime. And if the three defendants are dragged through criminal prosecution, they can sue the crap out of the plaintiffs (Rashadas). Unfortunately, you cannot sue the attorney for the same thing.

UF’s a dumpster fire. It doesn’t matter if both parties are present if you’re part of a conspiracy. Also, it doesn’t matter if the alleged recording was authorized. If it is released, Napier is going to be perceived as a rogue coach. Forget the courtroom, it’s meaningless. Along with an incoming recruit now out on a $60k bond for driving 150mph, along with other charges, it’s pretty clear that Napier is NOT going to survive. Along with being a lousy coach on the field, look at his record, it appears he’s a sleaze bag off it. He’s an extraordinary con man, not the level of Donald “Stinky” Trump, who should be gone from Florida. He’s not a criminal, like Trump, but is this clown who you want to be coacjoat UF?
