@@Rainbowgunsh I'm probably not the most qualified person to speak on the topic, as I do identify with my assigned pronouns, but I believe that it effectively comes down to not feeling comfortable with the pronouns assigned to you at birth. This could be due to personal reasons, social or societal expectations, or any number of other explanations. A decent comparison would be if someone were named Andrew at birth, but they don't feel comfortable with the name and choose to have their name legally changed to Andy or Drew, or even an entirely different name. Nico, the creator of Scattershot, presumably felt uncomfortable being referred to as female, and has thus begun referring to himself as male.

I would recommend looking up more trans creators who talk about their experiences to get a better understanding of how they think and feel about it rather than assuming you know what they think. Yeah, I watched like 16 animated pilots this year, some simple that inspire and most spectacular that just kill me with joy then revive me; and yours has always been one of my favourites. (you might see my comments everywhere; I am not a BOT.) I also wanted to be an animator but sadly the world is too harsh for them. So, even though I still dream of it, I still look forward to see others survive and thrive, hence, if I can I will always be supportive of their work.
