A descendant daughter of Adam's first wife, Lilith, Jadis was raised in nobility in the magical, yet oppressive land of Charn, where a monarchy of half-giant and djinn sorcerers dominated over their slave subjects. Jadis contested her sister for the throne of their late father, and together, in a brutal civil war, they coated the land with the blood of their armies; a land already tinted red by the rays of its dying sun. Knowing that her own defeat was imminent, Jadis practiced an old and dark curse known as the Deplorable Word; a word, that when uttered, would destroy every living thing in the speaker's realm, save that of the speaker. So, rather than see her own sister victorious, Jadis destroyed the life in Charn, and cast a preserving hibernation charm on herself that which could only be broken when another living creature struck a magical bell with a small golden hammer that rested atop a short pillar with the enticing inlaid message: "Make your choice, adventurous Stranger; Strike the bell and bide the danger, Or wonder, till it drives you mad, What would have followed if you had." The bell's ring produced a sweet note that echoed throughout the Hall of Images. This sound would grow louder and louder until the ground beneath all would tremble, and at last awaken the one at rest...

They should make a TV series about Jadis. Maybe her sister was the evil one and Jadis tried to stop her…but her sister possessed and stole Jadis’ body because she was jealous of her and felt inadequate. Her insecurities and sadness manifested itself into horrible thoughts and atrocities just as her father committed.

They should make a TV series about Jadis and how her sister was the evil one and took her body at the end. And they find the wood portal and insert themselves into numerous worlds and are titanic-like women with super strength. Then the story gradually develops into them growing emotionally apart and Jadis being a kind person who became possessed by her sister, but Jadis cast some sort of enchantment on the portal that her sister couldn’t figure out, so “Jadis” then pushes the destruct button. Tons of great characters could come of that.

I think Jadis was possessed by Tash, she mentions that to get the deplorable word she made a deal and paid a high price. In an illustration from The Magician's Nephew where Digory and Polly are in the city of Tash where there is a statue of a griffin, behind it you can see a door that has carved figures, on one of which is a vulture/raven head. like Tash's. Perhaps Tash was the representation of evil in Charm, she made the deal with Jadis and told her about the multiverse and how she should wait for someone to transport her to another dimension and at the same time take this one with him to corrupt the world/dimension. When Aslan says that evil came to Narnia, he meant not only Jadis but also Tash. When Jadis ate the golden fruit, she was freed from Tash, and he corrupted some humans from Narnia (when the protective tree was in place and they already had a kingdom) to move them south and form Calormen to worship him. This is also the reason why the Calormen did not attack Narnia during the reign of the White Witch.
