He used to be in sm in a 2nd gen group TVXQ that debuted in 2003. He and two of his other members however sued sm for exploitative contracts (this case is the reason kpop now has the 7 year limit contracts used to be crazy long) and then they formed the group JYJ. Now he is a solo artist.

I watched both videos of your reactions to Jaefrieds and you have mine 👍 But if you're reacting to another episode of Jaefrieds, please learn a little about Kim Jaejoong! Any self-respecting K-pop fan should have at least heard his name. Part of 2 outstanding groups - TVXQ and JYJ in the past, today he is a solo artist and an agency owner since one year. The case against SM Entertainment brought by the three members of JYJ changed the legal order in this business, giving young artists better contracts. For his freedom, Jaejoong paid a high price - 12 years of being blacklisted in the TV industry and 14 years without access to the main televisions in Korea.

what changed? why is he suddenly not blacklisted did the ceo's of major companies change, did rich people suddenly start liking him again or something else.
