The Jaeger-LeCoultre Tribute to Geophysic 1958 limited edition (Q8008520) of 800 pieces features a 38.5mm stainless steel case surrounding a white dial on a brand new black alligator strap with a stainless steel tang buckle. Functions of this JLC Geophysic include 100-meter water resistance, finely-adjusted JLC caliber 898/1, soft iron antimagnetic inner case, hours, minutes and seconds. This Jaeger-LeCoultre watch also measures 11.3mm in thickness and 45.3mm from lug-to-lug.

I personally own this watch. Simply amazing. It offers the perfect balance of dress & sport and could literally be the perfect 1 watch collection. I took the black leather strap off mine and have it on a tan leather band which matches the hand color better and gives it a more casual feel. I also occasionally put it on a nato strap and it becomes right at home in the water (100m wr). All in all....highly recommend this piece!

This watch is very high on my list. What else is in your collection? I have two steel sports Rolexes and I think this would be a fantastic addition. It's tough because the Master Control w/ date is very nice as well for about half the price. Glad you're enjoying it!

The "Grande Maison" quality control can be sloppy AF. Plenty of treads on popular forums with some absolute howlers from JLC... as well as the usual Richemont servicing horror stories. Shame, because I LOVE this watch; that along with the deadbeat second model.

Jaeger could have designed a 20 mm lug width without jeopardizing the overall case design.

@H Chretien Respectfully no. 20mm would change proportions. Necessary to make changes to fit 21st C commercial taste but if you change this and that but this...the thing is no longer the thing that you liked. A bridge too far like Michael Jackson’s face. It’s the perfect one watch collection tool-ish watch with great versatility. Best wishes and so on. JoM

I really like it but I want to see something a whole lot more interesting than black or white dials. Come on JLC, think of the dial as your dress socks, you can get by with the the coolest colors of socks, er, I mean dial, imaginable! That’s what we want!
