I find this Jaesa much more refreshing than her Dark Side version. She's like a lost little puppy at first, but she becomes more confident as the story continues.

I played neutral SW up until I met Jaesa so I could pick her to be either Dark or Light. I chose Lightside because Dark Side her is a bat shit crazy.

That's precisely why I like Kira, the Jedi Knight companion. She rejects all that "all feelings are all bad" nonsense and thinks for herself instead. I never play all-Light or all-Dark myself. It just feels wrong. My Sith Warrior would so high-five yours. I see her as a person with an inquisitive mind and a personal code. She takes a few dark options for the greater good, and takes light options when she thinks they are more rational and prudent (she's like 85% LS). It's fun to play that way.

There is a flaw in the game design of the story line for the force using classes. I wanted to play as an intelligent Sith Warrior who furthered his ambitions with intelligent decisions, while remaining loyal to the Sith code and the Empire. I did not want to be a light sided Sith, I wanted to be evil but smart, not a mindless, bloodthirsty killing machine. But if I opted to spare the life of a Jedi while RPing because I believed interrogating her would reveal knowledge that could be used against the Republic, I was a step closer to being categorized as a light sided Sith by the game and that was not my intention. So much so that I was scolded by a dark sided premonition of myself for being "lightweight". I don't want to defect, I don't want to be a Jedi, I want to be a smart Sith who doesn't mindlessly kills everything even when circumstances do not warrant such actions. Bioware needs to change that.

+The Posh Black Guy It's as bad on the Republic Side as well. The stories are super-saturated with conflicts that, if you want to be an unwavering defender of The Republic, you are often forced to choose the "dark side"/"evul" choices. Balmorra and Voss come to mind, where the Councilor/Knight/etc are encouraged to make the light side (and stupid as shit) choices, that do more harm than good-----or light side choices that come across as Orwellian and something straight out of the Imperial Agent's storyline. Example: At one point on my Jedi Knight, I had the option to destroy cutting edge medical technology that helps people minimize pain, and enhances their physical abilities. Destroying this technology was "good", and preserving it so the Republic could use it to save lives is "bad", according to Bioware.

@Son Gohan Ironically, turning Jaesa to the Dark Side is the more honest choice, even if your character was only somewhat dark-sided themselves.

@@YourCrazyDolphin Well, to be fair, if you are anything other than an average bloodthirsty, backstabbing Sith or non-Sith Imperial, your end-goal will be to reform the bloated, ineffective Empire either way. Mind that "reforming" the Empire doesn't need to mean "making it good/pacifist", it might also mean simply making it "better". Which in any way means turning down the blatantly Always-Chaotic-Evilness of the Empire, and the Sith as they are.

Blame the order, not to mention that her entire life she was taught to be submissive, obey, and do what's expected of her while having to put up with all the people lying and using her for their own gain. It's why she's so crazy if you make her Dark Side because she's never been allowed to express herself freely. Eventually she tempers down, if you romance her, and decides that she only wants to share such emotions with a male sith warrior as his wife.

I feel like Dark Side Jaesa is the true Jaesa. She's been hiding her darker tendencies from her Jedi masters (and from the player if you chose L.S) and pretends to be a serene Jedi. When, in truth, she really is a sadistic monster. Just the way she seems relieved and even happy when she's evil makes it seem like that's the person she really is. The Wrath doesn't change who she is, they just draw it out to the open. They reveal Jaesa's true self. Hehe, ironic.

The SW universe is not like our own. It is defined by two absolutes, the dark side and the light side. So finding moral paralels with our universe makes no sense. Both the jedi and the sith are slaves of the Force. And I don't believe there is an in-between, not even grey jedi.

I agree. I don't know why, I like the idea of non-evil Sith, but people who follow the Light Side just feel... hollow. Like, there's nothing left in them except being Jedi, fighting the Dark Side. All this "let go of feelings and attachments", it's the same thing I dislike about real life religion. You are supposed to be nothing except a tool of something with unknown intentions, but you're told that you can't even question that.

I find it funny people saying they rather be Sith than Jedi. Sith are a race, Jedi are a religion The Force is a metaphor for God, Sith are race that are naturally imbued with it (a allusion to Judaism), and everyone else who can use it are believers in the -religion- of the Sith. (Like Christianity that was based off of Judaism) Edit: Vader was a Jedi, and always was. He just fell to the dark side (like Satan, or sin or whatever) Sith went extinct looooong before Star Wars, the only one remaining was Darth Maul.

Also, with other characters, not going dark side just makes your character more human... Not secretly trying to reform the empire.
