You had interpreted history wrongly. Emperor Jahangir had not made compulsory to attend the court regularly for him as was for other mansubdars or ministers. A high official from him was doing this duty but he was attending the court on all special occasions or on some emergency calls. So, you are not right and Amarsingh attended the court on many occasions and given his salutes to the great emperor whenever he met him.
