Sold my 2009 Porsche 997.2 Carrera S for this model 2018 and never looked back. Much better looking and a more comfortable ride. The info tech, Apple Play, and navigation miles ahead of Porsche.

The best review of an F Type. I rented a 2018 p380 which is basically this car and loved every second of the three days I had it.

A good honest review bud, Ive owned a V6S for just over 12 months, I have to say your dead right about the way people look at you 😂, not complaining though as that's what's it's all about , yes the car sounds fab, goes like stink but the looks are drop dead gorgeous, mines a 2014 in silver with the black pack, black 20's, performance seats and glass roof, looking a million dollars in silver, like a mini Bond mobile, to say I'm over the moon would be an understatement. Well done to Jaguar for designing and building such a wonderful little car, well worth the outlay and British built too, who cares if they are owned by India these days, they are built in Brum and I'd buy anything over a German tin box. 😆

I bought an XF S based on your videos, and it is a great choice. Maybe a few years down the line, it could be the F-Type. What a video and what a car - outstanding!

I love my 2018 3.0l V6 S, I’ve got the quicksilver sport exhaust system upgrade and it sounds even better than it does stock. I’ve also got a 500hp tune on it recently and its really fast now 😂

Simon Rose wow!!! No pressure then! :).... I stand by my judgement .... it's much more fun to drive than the Cayman.... as long as you don't mind lots of people looking at you! Hey Jon, great review. I'm tossing up between getting the convertible and coupe variants. The thing I love most about the F Type is the exhaust note - the crackles, pops etc. Did you feel that with the doors closed, windows up on the coupe model that it was significantly more quiet compared to the convertible with the top down?

Kingsway Kwan well with the roof down it’s always going to be massively more noisy! But if you mean convertible roof up vs Coupe then the difference isn’t much at all. The Coupe is much better looking in my opinion, but roof down is always a lot of fun! I’m driving a V8 R today and OMG if you can afford one it’s the one to go for.

Allen Green it’s confusing isn’t it. The R Dynamic is a V6. The R is a V8. I call it the R Dynamic to start with but it’s such a mouthful I drop the Dynamic a couple of times I think. In the V6 vs V8 in Wales video I just stick to V6 or V8..... far simpler!

In 2016 the "S" was the V6 and the "R" was the V8. Seems appropriate since "S" follows "R" in the alphabet. Then, in 2017 Jag labeled the top V6 trim "R dynamic", which suggests even better performance than the V8 "R", but isn't. Maybe Jag just want to confuse the hell out of everyone so they'll be happy no matter what trim they're driving.

Hi Daniel. I think they are more supportive to the lower back, but even more importantly have better side bolstering.... definitely worth a try.

The backrests are also a bit thinner, allowing the seats to slide back just a bit more.

The F type looks and sounds great, I have had a 16plate 380bhp S for 12 months, however my 17 plate 911 4s it far quicker on a B road, far better built, and with the sports plus seats far far more comfortable...sorry and unfortunately the 992 has raised the bar for 2019.....I hate the plastic cubby hole cover in my F Type can’t believe it’s not been replaced in 2017 car...it’s cheap and hateful

I have an f type and I think it is terrible. Overpriced, poor build quality, poor quality interior, performance is nothing special. Porsche all day long for me now.
