Been modelling for years and have always painted by hand and never owned a airspray . Great to see you do likewise Dave . Also you don,t seem to be obsessed with accuracy and detail just like me . l try to make a model as accuratel as l can but don't concern myself if it's not perfect . As long as l,m happy with the end result is fine . This hobby after all is about satisfaction and enjoyment . Enjoy your videos . Happy modelling .

I try and follow an accurate scheme but I def don't obsess with it no, I think you have to be realistic when you are brush painting, some detail is sacrificed but at the end of the day it is 35 times smaller than real life. thanks for your comment.

I believe they were produced plain yellow and all of the camouflage was painted when they were assigned to a company, so mine is as it was - but with lots of dirt added!

I like the rough handling of color and weathering. Models by so-called professionals look like they are adorned and have nothing individual. It's different with you. I like it.

Thanks, I was trying to be a bit more artistic with the thin washes, I must agree I've stopped aiming to be as good as some of those top guys, all I've got is a brush and a love of muddy tanks! cheers/

I could never paint without an airbrush.

I'm old fashioned, I had one and tried it but it was probably the cheapest I could find and it didn't work amazingly so it put me off.

Looks great. Nice job done Dave. The spare tracks on the side of the superstructure are not right, because there's nothing over there to hang them. Thanks for sharing, take care and keep up the good work my friend.

I had a feeling they weren't but I can always cut them apart again and hang them properly on the hooks.

@@supermodeldave2504 or you can bend them and hang them from the "ceiling" to the sides, like they are supported from their own weight.

I can't knock you for your enthusiasm for this hobby and you certainly enjoy what you build. Am I right in saying that you build to a tight budget ?? I ask because you said you didn't want to buy any extra detailing or similar . Your builds are okay and what we call a claean and tidy build but why don't you ever use a primer on your models?? I sometimes use auto primer grey colour from Halfords and it leaves a nice smooth coat which when I airbrush the primary colour(s) the model has a nice smooth even finish. Which brings me to my next question when will you be investing in an airbrush ? I think you have the talent and with practice the skill to use an airbrush to great effect and then improve on the weathering and bring your models to life. I like watching your videos and look forward when you go up to the next level of skill .

Probably my bad for not understanding, but did you prime the model with german red brown?
