No Australian soldiers in Burma. Wingate had some Jewish soldiers from his pre war commando unit

That’s actually the M36B1. The “Jackson” had sloping hull sides. The B1 also used the heavy duty stamped “dog dish” road wheels. Source is Steve Zaloga.

nice it is a nice kit. The US uses live track so it shouldn't sag like many ww2 tanks.

Enjoyed the build but I hate to break it to you about the uniforms in the Far East, they were Green, not Khaki. They were both made from the same material and cut in pretty much the same style though, but were known as KD's- Khaki Drill, and OG's- Olive Green. The shirts were made of a material called Aertex and the trousers from a sort of denim. I think that pre-War everyone wore KD in the Middle and Far East, because no one seriously thought they'd ever fight in the jungle I suppose. But OG's came in for Burma fairly quickly after it all kicked off, as they say.

Very nice work, I like the way you utilise the figures being set in Burma. It's good that the troops have short and long trousers. Well done for using that together. Do yourself a favour and get that cough checked out.

The smaller of the two ports on either side of the gun mantlet goes on the right side of the main gun. It is for the 7.62mm coaxial machine gun. If the machine gun is mounted, a portion of the barrel pokes out. The larger aperture is for a telescopic gun sight and it is fitted to the left side of the turret for the gunner. FYI for any other builders out there.
@Hjerte_Verke Жыл бұрын
Track tension is wrong for a serviceable, combat ready tank. The tracks were kept taught with the top links just resting on the 4 rear-most roadwheels and off the first roadwheel. There's also specs providing how many track links were used on the real tanks--of course translating that to your model depends on how accurate all the model parts are. Track tension was provided by moving the front idlers back and forth with an adjusting wrench.

Bravo!! ! SUPER!!!🎉
Great video mate. I just bought mesen this kit and hoping to start soon. The PE is a bit daunting, but looking forward to it.

Hi John, I did a year of videos and enjoyed it but the time it took up and the energy took away from other things. I'm moving house now. I've still been making but not videoing. What about yourself? My views had dropped away to nothing too, if I carried on a couple more videos I would have been in minus numbers!!

Not To "Nitpick" you can build it anyway you want, but a USMC tank wouldn't typically have the white stars and an ARMY tank woudlnt have the raised exhaust pipe mostly Marines used those, but hey it looks great.

Agree with what you said Dave . l enjoy recreating the history of warfare in minature not warfare itself . Like many other modellers l 'm fascinated by the Third Reich , the uniforms and the weapons but that does,nt mean we are neo nazis . All we do is create something artistic which tells a story . As always a good dio , down to basics , no pissing about which shows you don,t have to spend hours or days to build something realistic . Happy modelling , look forward to the next one . Cheers .

Hey Dave, I've built 1/72 before. Quite a few actually. Can't remember the company now, it's a popular one though. They paint quick and are very satisfying builds. I've yet to put them in a diorama. I like trenches. I like what I've seen before on your channel. I'd like to try 1/35 but, I don't see too many out there. Any suggestions? I think Tamiya makes a motorized one?
@supermodeldave25042 жыл бұрын
hey Mike, the tamiya one is £60!! because of the motor like I say in the video I didn't fancy that but its here on amazon: amzn.to/3LkMbs1 and this is the emhar one which I bought off amazon for £20 this one, as it wasn't on the usual websites I use amzn.to/3HLb4e4.
