today we are taking a look at the new campaign ship the Jager

I love playing Yudachi, as a guilty pleasure torp spammer/deleter. This ships seems in a very similar vein. Lots of fast reloading torps, guns that hit pretty hard but lack dpm, and bad AA. You lose smoke, but have heals and torp range. Seems like a pretty fun take on a torp boat archetype. Not gonna be great mind you, but fun nevertheless

4 Yudachi torps prolly do the same dmg as 12 of those if not more

@@8shkay True, but you get more torps with longer range. Easier to spread torps around or pre-torp a cap or corner. Probably worse than Yudachi, but I’m excited to try it

Jager has been on PC for quite a while- same spec. Loads of them to start with but interest wanes... she really needs a team behind her or she simply gets melted on spotting. Incapable of defending herself from a good gun DD

I have had this ship since it was released on PC. I run it with only about 15k hull and it is a monster. Super tanky, and hard to land a hit on. The only problem is this ship has no AA, if there is a CV and it spots you they will keep you spotted until you are dead. Other than that it is pretty damn good. This ship should be focused on hunting BB, not DD, not subs, just BB.

Mark my words, this will be the most played boat in the game after this campaign is over and more people have it. A division of 2 or 3 of these things will leave teir 7 a graveyard of battleships in their wake. Ive had several krakens and games with over 30 torp hits. Their certainly wont be nearly as many battleships sailing around once the jager becomes more mainstream. Way way way too good.

Crappiest T7 boat out there. And premium? C'mon. I hit a ship with 11 torps and didn't get half the HP down. Only 1 caused flooding. Should be a tier 4 at best.

I think campaigns are always worth doing just because of the other resources that come along with it. The ship isn’t out right impressive. But still fun

For the price of an admiralty backing it's always worth doing regardless of the ship but if you if you are looking to take a break from the game this ship looks very skippable. That being said you can never predict future buffs. We have had a some mediocre campaign ships in the past that have gotten some pretty good buffs later.
