Seriously. I’m an alpha test player that was in SuperTest for several years, and I’m convinced the devs do NOT play the game. They’ve absolutely wrecked the meta, and with the changes to the catapult fighter, this update was not only a massive buff to carriers, it was also a blanket nerf to literally hundreds of ships in game.

Like Holly crap I went f2p about a 6 months ago, and good lord, it just keeps getting worse?! And they are doing this to get carriers in other modes?! I was going to quit when I got the Takahashi, but this change I don't even have the eill to grind anything. As I said before, this update ruined it for me as well. Well, I have another opinion, this is a balancing issue and especially in that case unfair. If you take Alabama with a 10 second reload and 20,000 damage output per shot it’s not an advantage it’s simply non-balanced and unfair. I’m playing this game since years now and i’m specialized on BBs and cruisers, so flying planes around is not a fun fact for me. And even if you’re a good team player, if in the current setup, the carrier takes focus on you, you are lost.

I haven't looked at the nerf yet, but I'll just call it now... It's a "nerf" will barely be noticeable. We all know how WG feels about their precious carriers. Perhaps if they made it to where they could only get 1 drop off against a strong AA ship, then I could possibly deal with it. For now I have stopped playing. It is virtually unplayable to me rn unless you get lucky to not be the one the carrier goes for. But I'm a BB main... So I'm instantly focused.

The hanger regen rate on these things is PREPOSTEROUSLY broken, and needs to be nerfed IMMEDIATELY. Enjoy it while it lasts, cuz it ain’t gonna. Also, the catapult fighter is next to useless now, and ships that lost the use of it need immediate alternatives to its consumable slot. Radar/sonar/defensive fire AA/secondary battery booster/heal, WHATEVER. But it needs to be replaced

I play CVs a lot, but honestly I hated this update because they made conserving planes pointless. It sucked all the defense out of carriers and now the only thing is how much damage can you do. Also the fuel mechanic is counterintuitive. I used to dance all over and play cat and mouse avoiding AA, now what I have no fuel I just fly right in regardless of AA for the same result. We didn't need fuel, sitting back to far meant spending more time flying into battle, it already hurt you to sit back, why add fuel too?

Got taken out by a carrier yesterday while playing Marlboro with full ae build before any enemy ship was even in firing range . The game has become a joke . 80% of my friends have quit the game and I nearly uninstalled the game myself. It's not even funny with nearly a £1000 invested and no love for carriers since they were introduced. Just like wot I will end up uninstalling and never returning. I had over well over £2,000 into that. It's just a money grab and almost everyone I play wows with (50% of my 170+friends list) has given up on the game. Only maybe 10 friends left who play now. No incentive for me when for the last week I can't even get 2 more players to make a division and playing solo you just end up deleted in under 2 minutes by a carrier before you can fire a single salvo. It's disgusting and disgraceful. Oh and I don't play carriers because they pose no challenge I have a 75% win rate playing solo carriers , I estimate a 90% while in division. No buffs were needed in my view. Also spotters now have no use ooh 10% dispersion but that still gets wasted by r&g LMAO. I'll be juming on to play ai because I already paid for the campaign. But no fix and I will join the rest of my friends and uninstall. War gaming is literally taking the piss out of it's fans who have paid fortunes. Rant over. Omens666 .

Left out other crucial facts that plays a major roll in why CV's across the bored are achieving higher damage. Skilled CV players are always playing close to the enemy to increase damage output (THIS GAME PLAY IS A PERFECT EXAMPLE). The new CV mechanics forces average CV players out of the back of the map resulting in higher damage like never before seen. New update gives zero incentive to spot and 100% incentive to hyper focus on farming damage (THIS GAME PLAY IS A PERFECT EXAMPLE). You now see this with all CV players. Will nurfing plane regeneration, fuel and flight speed make a difference?! I say not as much as you would wish because of the 2 reasons above.

If you know business, you need to keep customers. Wargaming can adjust the RNG . When you put an inspiration on or battle booster on that gives 5 percent dispersion, you are changing the RNG. Might be too hard for most players to understand that

Being withered down by a CV is infinitely more infuriating that getting dev struck by a BB. Getting dev struck by a BB usually means you either chose or were forced into bad positioning. A CV could just decide "fuck you" for no reason without them having to be exposed in the slightest.

@@ToskaCat Again, the first three things you mentioned are most of the time, not always, but most of the time due to bad positioning. Either because you played poorly and put yourself there, or because your team collapsed and forced you there. In the teams case it's almost always hopeless anyway so it hardly matters. As for dodging carrier attacks it's almost impossible to completely dodge every single attack from them even in the most agile of ships because you can't account for bomb RNG. You can definitely dodge torps by paying attention in DDs and the more maneuverable cruisers but are basically fucked in BBs and bulkier cruisers.
