Jagex Announced HUGE Changes to OSRS Today

OSRS had more than a massive announcement today. These changes are absolutely GAME CHANGING! PvM in all forms is seeing a massive buff along with a few specific nerfs. Elemental spells will be seeing the biggest increase with up to 50% damage and accuracy increases. 2024 is a big year for OSRS. I detailed out the updates I mentioned along with a bunch of other important OSRS changes you'll want to hear about! This effects us all, and is an important listen. OSRS is changing greatly in 2024, be sure to keep notified about all of the new updates that are coming.

@@lyric9285 This is nothing like EOC. Monsters already have weaknesses to stab, crush, magic and ranged. This just means that mage means something, rather than wind - water - earth spells just being a stepping stone to your best fire spell. More diversity in spell usage. The category for ranged I'm still unsure of, if I'm honest but I get that it moves the BiS to just being a tbow and they can introduce a new BiS heavy ranged weapon, a handcannon for example.

Rsn: ThiccKRool As long as this doesn’t affect pvp, I think these are fantastic changes. I never knew what the point of other spells were if you already had a fire spell so giving them purpose is a huge upgrade and adds variety.

To be honest one thing RS3 really does right.. is making you swap and change your setups depending what slayer monster you get. Keeps gear and supplies relevant and adds value to less currently used items. It’s a good update.

Fantasy games really should start taking notes as to how runescape handles magic. Too many games opt for the lazy Magic = Ranged with RGB projectiles and consumes a blue bar in the ui instead of arrows. RSN: 0 sen
