Not all skills need to or have been an equal time investment. Firemaking has always been fast even more now with wintertodt and things like slayer, herb, mining have always been slow. Just because one is fast doesn’t mean they all need to be.

The issue is that there are now low effort methods like there are in most of those other skills you mentioned. Given that, the consistent high-APM for the highest possible amount of exp earnable is outrageous compared to each and every other skill in the game. The XP rates aren't the problem. The problem is the least click intensive method is still clicking every 5 to 6 ticks. We need a method the option to click every 3 minutes, or even every 10

Yeah that's what bothers me the most. From the proposal going from 60-90 is only 5k more xp per hour using the less intensive method. I understand sepulcher being more but rooftops are just robbery. No reason to prefor one over another when it's only about a 13ish% difference from seers all the way to Ardy. Then Ardy is only a little more than 1/2 sepulcher. No reason it can't be closer to 2/3 especially when sepulcher is also very profitable. 70k/hr seemed about right to me especially at lvl 90. Doesn't change much but feels much better.

AFK should be slower but active skills should be 100k min per hour i say at higher tiers. not asking much is it, a skill at those rates would still be over 100 hours to 99. 23 skills in the game with active ones being 100k per hour avg so about 100-130hrs to 99 on active skills some faster obviously. then AFK skills which are slower around 40k-50k per hour. your still looking at 2k+hrs to 99 everything and thats with knowing what your doing and not taking into account ANY other activities you might do in game. for example. Minigames Raids PVP LMS Bossing Etc oh and lets not forget other games exist aswell that people might wanna play and new content dropping all the time. its a joke they think that agility shouldnt be increased in xp.

I think gnomes will see a lot of use from irons. But thats the only change. I could see knights being the route from 55-75 then gnomes to 85 since ranger boots are a necessity for high level content. Then 85 onwards is still vyres and elves

I think something that would have been good is any shortcut used has a massive bonus exp to it with a say 10min CD on the bonus. So say a log crossing is 35exp now. Once per 10min its actually 1750 exp etc. So a little more passive exp when using shortcuts during other activities. Adjust the CD if needed. Also gives a little more passive to not have to keep grinding a rooftop.

Hearing this pissed me off. They should've just given a buff to xp rates and given a bonus xp drop to everyone based on prior agility course laps already completed, then EVERYONE can be happy. For example, if agility course X gave 100 xp per lap, they could've adjusted it to 150 xp. A player who already had 1,000 completions of the course would get 50k agility xp when they logged in to adjust for the changes, just as an example.

IMO it's good that it remains 'low' XP rates. The rest of the game has gotten too quick and easy and a bit soft in places. I am not a fan of training it myself, but rather it remains that way then becoming an easy 99 (like firemaking)

Honestly what I would have done bringing old school back is just make shortcuts take different levels of different skills to do the obstacle instead having agility at all. Remove agility entirely and do things like squeezing though x hole to the other side takes x thieving level (because you're being sneaky). Things like Gwd where you gota move the bolder or bang a gong takes x str lvl and if you gota shoot a grapple for something to get across it just takes x range lvl and make run energy not a thing and just have a toggle for running and walking like in leagues. Agility quite literally is by far the most boring skill and takes a eon to train since the inception of the skill. I've played this game since orginal classic runescape back in 2001 and this skill has always quite literally been dog in every way always and I actually have fallen asleep at my computer training it. It's the only 99 I've never had on an account even in boosted game modes.

They should introduce Treadmills/Stationary Bikes as a method for afk agility training akin to star mining. Low xp/hr (30-40k) rates and clicking once every 5-7 minutes. Lock them behind some level requirements. (I.E. 50 Agility, 70 crafting & construction) Make them available in POH's or make it social and create a in game gym LOL. Either way running thousands of laps for hundreds of hours is not fun at all and frankly sucks. Something like this might be a fair as well as creative solution

jesus christ just goes to show how jank their systems really are when they can't even add on to an existing post. sure its a little thing but it just shows you have dated and trash their toolset is, like seriously how difficult would it be to simply i don't know increase the character limit of blog posts. its a small thing but it trickles down to all aspects of the game. King sorry but agility with those changes for me is still stage 4 terminal cancer. like realistically all they have done is make agility faster at lower levels which isn't an issue right now the real issue is when you get to ardy course and your their from level 90 till 99 which is 9,695 laps. complete joke. its nice they added more level 1 courses so people can do agility at lower levels in more places but the real issue is that agility is just such a slog at high levels and they really have done jack shit to allievate that. the shortcuts etc are all a W though, just xp desperately needs to improve at higher levels since i didn't find an issue with lower level agility you can get to 60 or 70 in a not to bad time.

agility is pretty relaxing. plus it has a pretty crazy ability to high alch while doing the course , so jagex knows that if they buff it even 50% it will be a "best xp/hour activity in game." High alching being ridiculous with some items (300+go profit each battlestaff, high alching thousands of magic longbows with just a couple mil). i can understand why its so difficult to rework agility without it being ridiculously unbalanced or remaking the Frogger game (and being 100% intense, like, you cant multitrain and multistream profit)
