@30:15... seems like if you reduce the opacity of the bars to zero then you'll just have the info overlaid on the image? That seems ideal to me.

Great walkthrough, thank you! Question - If you needed to map one of the buttons to zoom the image to in to 1:1 pixels to check focus, would you use the crop tool for that? I tried the pinch zoom as a way to check focus, but wow it is incredibly unresponsive (almost unusable) on the pinch gesture - at least for my particular monitor

For camera control F buttons, once the function selected (as in the slider appears) you have to long press de F physical button for 3 seconds to assign that button to the function 😉

Another great review. Portkeys should make a cheaper version without SDI. Those of us with mirrorless cameras like your FX3 don't need it. A magnetically attached sun screen would be a big plus. Is there any method to color calibrate Portkeys monitors?

Thanks. They do make the LH7P which is less than half the cost with just HDMI.

@@PaulJoy Have looked at it, but it's only 1,000 nits. Would like a 2,200 nit 7". Something like the LHP5 II in 7".

@@Trevellian Yeah that’s a fair point. I think the BM72DS is a good choice if you need a 7” monitor with high brightness. If they made an HdMI only version and it was £100 less I think I’d likely buy the one with SDI anyway just incase I needed to work with an SDI camera.

Also, I am wondering how the Colour Edge Enhance is customizable. I don't like how it seems to mess up the background but I think it may be fixable with the customising options. Wondering if it's as good (or close to) the sharpening tool that SmallHD offers.

SDI Tally works for Blackmagic switchers, however, they don't allow you to assign a camera number so it only seems to work as "camera 1". If someone knows a better way to set up tally with BMD switchers, I'd love to hear about it (I mean on this monitor).

It’s definitely a BM7. I know what you mean though, I think PortKeys need to make some elements of the UI smaller as it seems to be scaled up from the 5" monitors making it look the same size.
