The problem with this video is that you're only talking about the 2L diesels. This is entirely different than the issues with more common 3.0L supercharged. The issue for them is not timing chains but coolant leaks or early electronics that would be addressed post MY18. I have an SVR now but unlikely to have any issues menntikned here. Further, with the exception of the 2.0L diesel, this is not owner maintenance issues at all, it's design flaws.

Only more common in the us
@AndrewD502970455 ай бұрын
One of the most common problems is the Y coolant pipe underneath the supercharger. It's made of plastic and the plug bit breaks off and leaks. To change it you need to pull the supercharger and upgrade to metal version which is more robust. Jag wanted 3800$ to fix. I did it in my garage for 167$ and 4 hours of my time.

The facelift version 2021 has mostly been fixed, stronger timing chain now in place, was a serious issue, new auto box and gear selector system from Range Rover, Turbo no issue as long as main dealer service as you stated. New interior which is amazing. Nice video and fair points.

Is the new f pace reliable
@IanSRutter10 ай бұрын
I bought a 2017 300d AWD model with 65,000 miles from a dealer 3 months ago, full service history, and when I picked it up they surprised me by showing the work sheet of a full service plus new timing belt just done before pickup. Great car to drive, little thirsty, but this is my second Jag and I've had a LR3 and Range Rover Sport and all have been excellent and reliable. I take care of them and keep up with servicing, infact I always had the oil changed every 6 months. I know, a little OTT but I take car of something which is not cheap, and I had done that with a Subaru I had many many years ago, the mechanic who did the servicing on the Subaru bought it of me when I put it for sale. Changing the oil is far cheaper than changing an engine. Good advice on the video.

I own a 2017 F Pace, 2.0D AWD with 100'000 km and the car had absolutely NO ISSUES 'till now. Not even small glitches or malfunctions. However I'm doing regular maintenance and every 3 months I reset all the "ghost faults" that accumulate over time with my diagnostic tool. The best car I ever had.

I have an XE which shares many of the components. I have had two big issues with the Adblue system which threatened to brick the car in 500 miles. In spite of main dealer servicing and doing only 6k miles per year. The last time it happened I was on a ferry and nowhere near main dealer support. Also the reversing camera wires snapped (all 3 of them)as they had been installed too tight by Jaguar. Who wanted £750 to fix them. I looked it up on KZbin and fixed it with block connectors.

I have a 2017 F pace 20d that I've had issues with since purchasing back 2023 (57k miles). The turbo has been replaced twice only to have researched the issue on my own to find the problem was within the engine block. The engine was replaced under warranty and now I'm having issues with coolant leaks only 2 months later. I never had a chance to keep up the service maintenance recommended as the car was at the dealership more than with me!!!. Taking back to the dealership AGAIN.... NEVER AGAIN WILL I PURCHASE A JAGUAR OR RANG ROVER. I rather go with reliability than looks. You live and learn!!!!
