Of all the versions in the F-Type range, I find this 400S particularly beautiful. I would go for this one over the V8 versions anytime. It's amazing how such a subtle facelift can make such a big difference. Also, am I the only one who thinks the V6 howl sounds much better than the slightly farty V8 sound?

This is probably the most beautiful car I’ve ever seen, coming second only to the Jag E-type... If money was no issue I would happily take the slower acceleration and higher price of this car compared to other competitors. Admittedly the car is starting to show its age, but for me simply waking up and having the privilege of looking at this everyday would make it worthwhile. It’s truly a piece of art and in the next 5 years I hope be able to own an F-type outright. Truly amazing cinematography, never fails to disappoint!🇬🇧

I've owned an f-type 400 sport for a little under a year now. I disagree with motorway driving comment, in it's normal mode with the radio on I can't hear the engine whilst cruising. I also disagree with the gearbox comment on the track, the gearbox is rapid and never find myself wanting it to shift any faster than it does. The steering feedback on track comment I do agree with, it's not the most communicative I've experienced. Also, the comment on the road "its sounds ok" it doesn't sound ok, it sounds fantastic! Only issue I've had with the car is trying to open the doors when it's freezing, they don't like opening and if they do they don't like closing again!
@casperme655210 ай бұрын
I can't speak for the 400, but I can't hear my base V6 when cruising. I've never heard anyone say that 400bhp in an F type is too much or unusable. Also, the F type obviously wasn't made for the track (the average age of a F type owner is 52), they are made for leisurely/spirited Sunday drives as well as a more interesting drive to work. I'm not quite sure what this presenter was thinking with this video.

Call me crazy but my only favourite f type is the F type R rear wheel drive because that car has the drama. I think AWD ruins the character of this car imo.

@joaosoares37197 жыл бұрын
If you had the talent of a racing driver the RWD would probably be a good choice. But since you likely don't I'd suggest the AWD version.
@joshb57197 жыл бұрын
João Soares rwd is more sendy
@wooster48857 жыл бұрын
Frank Einstein well even though I prefer rwd, the f types awd sends all the power to the rear in good conditions and then when it's bad then it sends power to the front think of it as a purist awd

Yes, it is beautiful. But it does start to age, especially the lights. Maybe it is overexposure and I'm just getting used to it. It's a bit like the AM V8 Vantage, still one of the most beautiful cars to look at, but I wouldn't buy one new anymore and the F-type got there a lot quicker than the Vantage, I feel.
@03chrisv7 жыл бұрын
MrPanohead It's probably just over exposure, especially if you own one. I'm like that with all my cars. After about 18 months I'm already itching to trade it in for something different and "newer" looking. I'm personally thinking about getting a 2018 F-type later this year. Than I'm sure 18 to 24 months later I'll get rid of it and upgrade to the all new redesigned Aston Martin Vantage that is supposed to be unveiled later this year.

The F type isn't exclusive anymore with the introduction of the 4 cylinder version
@03chrisv7 жыл бұрын
DIINj27 A 4 cylinder version is still out of reach for most people. The base model is $59k, but dealers would almost never carry one. You're looking at around $62k to $64k minimum with options, add in dealer fees, transport fee, taxes, and interest rate and the 4 cylinder now costs around $68k to $70k. The F-type will still be pretty exclusive and you won't find too many more on the road. Most people don't even make $50k a year.
