I have an unmodded november '19 svr (2020 infotainment upgrade pack) with the carbon fibre upgrade.. Had it from 5k miles on the clock since '20. Its the open top. Its now got 11k miles on the clock and most of that has been trips to le mans 24hr from the midlands. I have not had a single fault. Not one. I'm an engineer by trade so this is my way of keeping it perfect: Car has been serviced by jaguar every year on time. Its done 11k and had its 68000 mile service last year. I never think 'i haven't used it so it doesn't need one'. Even standing still, cars do not like this (including military jets aswell). Its been mot'd by jaguar on time every year. Out of yearly service times, every journey to le-mans, when im home, its a service including oil and filter change. I keep the cars in a carcoon. This keeps it heated, the battery trickle charging. It keeps the elements from rain, ice and wind away, it keeps it dry, and only comes out of the carcoon from April to October. Its not modded at all, not even cosmetically. No way is a part or componant that are non jag going on my perfect stock car. Components not designed for the car bring problems, and I know Jaguar know far more than me about building cars, and that is from an engineer of 30 years. (Military Aviation not car mech). The most important i do is religiously carry out husbandry checks to see if I spot any issues, then send to jag to fix... which i have not had too. This year it had brand new p zero stickies for this summers fair weather driving. I do drive it how it's meant to be driven, especially over to le man where the roads are amazing to drive 'spiritedly' so that is the reason for good maintenance. This car is everything for me. I have had jags and porsche all my life, and sold an Jag xfr and a 981 spyder to get this one 5 years ago. My daily.... Is a modded 2013 Abarth 500, that's the stupid crazy fun daily commute town car for me. And I dont care about pranging it! In fact it's saved me thousands as it keeps the F-Type low mileage and kept in perfect hibernation. One final thing, highly recommend investing in an outdoor or indoor carcoon. This is the single most important thing I purchased. 700 quid keeps your car in perfect hibernation. Had mine 7 years. Costs 1-2 p a day to run (x2 pc fans blow it up. Great videos, nice to see other jag ownership.

Great looking car.👌🏻 You forgot to mension the ugrade on the Pirelli tyres😉 We still got the Pirelli's under our F-type. Never been a big fan of those. We also had them under our TT🤐. Just one more summer and I'll replace them. We got the winter tyres on at the moment. We have a 2020 (old, good looking nose) Chequered Flag edition. So the car already looks amazing to us. No need to de-chrome anything. I do like the bronze lines you placed around the spoilers. Maybe something for the future. And I will take a look at those wheel arch extensions. 🙌🏻👌🏻😅 Good tip👍🏻 The airvents on top of the dash we hardly use them. I don't like direct wind blowing in my face. In the summer it gives me a headache. So we always leave it down. As long as you don't set the control to "Auto" or "Cold" it stays down. We are still in love with her after 7 months. It's "only" a 2.0. But we did a stage 1 tune. So it has 330bhp now and 450Nm torque. Our Audi was faster. But driving in this is just way more fun and special.

Hi, I used CT1 to stick down the window surround on my F type, I then taped it down to the door jam using Kapton tape and left it on for 2 days (the door still opens and closes) two years later and it’s still holding

That’s really good to know, thanks. I’ll give that a try

Good luck man - I'm getting my F type in 2 weeks and I'm giddy. I have a feeling the leadup (between buying and actually getting it) might be the best part!

If I update my screen does it mean I have to have my phone running while I’m abroad to get google maps or does it work with the car gps, you didn’t talk about the oversize Michelin tyres

I have to watch again of the front XK wheel flairs. I need to do this. Love your videos. Plus dechrome front grill surround. The badges, are there pins, or just stuck on?
@MrGB_UKКүн бұрын
Glad you like them! The rear ‘Large’ Jaguar badge by the spoiler has pins. Everything else is adhesive only

On the air vent control, does it mean that air flows in all directions by default and you can't direct air to where you want? That'd be a deal breaker for me. I leave the central vent off all the time (I think the dash looks better and improves visibility) and direct air to the windscreen and footwell only.
@MrGB_UK2 күн бұрын
That is correct. You can still close the vent on the dash however

Thanks to you, I fitted the front spats to my P575. Love the car, especially as a V8 Jaguar will be, sadly, a thing of the past. Really appreciate your efforts but I have one question, Tyres, Perrelli P Zero's last about 9,000 miles rear - what mileage from those Michelin's? Once again, thanks for your efforts.

Dude the feel of the pilot 4s is night n day Not sure about milage but for feel I Would pick the michis

Thanks for the support and glad to hear the videos are useful. My tyres don't last much more than that, but then its a 550bhp car, so I expect heightened rates of wear

@ prefer Michelin's on my motorbikes so will swap out next time. Many thanks.

how much was the navigation upgrade and can it be put into any model year?
@MrGB_UK2 күн бұрын
It was £800. Regrettably not any model year, no. I did a video on this if you need more info kzbin.info/www/bejne/iqrFaaGlbtGBj68si=XoDKRJNBVwZP7Ndh
@Inspiringink123 күн бұрын
Do you only need front spats if it’s 4 wheel drive?
@MrGB_UK2 күн бұрын
Not necessarily. It's to stop stone chips flying off the tyres
@Noddyunplugged2 күн бұрын
Rear ones are more for the benefit of people behind you. Unless you’re driving a hatchback - then it can help a tiny bit with dirt on the rear lol.

Side note. What watches are you wearing? Maybe tell us btw today I’m wearing so and so. We like those details.
