Jaguar's 2019 4 cylinder F-Type is Pawsitively powerful

Jaguar's 2019 beautiful F-Type remains mostly the same this year, which is a truly wonderful thing. It's got the looks, style, interior layout and overall hype that's well deserved.
Our tester came in the 4 cylinder flavour, which makes it less growly but still has plenty of oomph beneath the hood.

We just bought a 2020 2.0 chequered flag edition last week (old nose, we don't like the new) and we love it.❤ Our 2020 Audi TT was a bit faster, but we don't mis it. It's quick enough for us. The looks and handling is amazing. And because we use it every day, the milage and maintenance costs was also a thing for us. In the netherlands petrol isn't cheap😅

2019 has a 10" navigation/infotainment screen, 2018 was an 8" screen.... worth mentioning.

I have the V6S but nothing wrong with the four cylinder, it’s still a good engine and it probably handles a bit better. Definitely better than the V8 does.

I´m still not sure if i want the V6 or the 2 liter and save a bit of money. Do you think the v6 sound is worth it?

Drove one of these the other day. Sounds a little whiny in normal driving vs the V6 or V8 obviously. It actually does have half decent acceleration but is still an F-Type "light". The most disappointing thing is that it lacks some of the options that are standard on the v6 and v8 and that ruined it for me (wanted it for my wife). Still a gorgeous car and the v4 does make a lot of sense for most people. Probably didn't help that I drove a 911 and Aston Martin Vantage S the night before.

I have the coupe V6S but I guess in some countries the tax is prohibitive for the bigger engine ones, nothing wrong with the 4 cy though.

The only problem is that it requires premium fuel, and premium fuel is going to now be more expensive and harder to find due to new clean air requirements in the USA

Never close the hood like that😮and the stop start can be permanently disabled by disconnecting a wire in the trunk

SVR 0-60 is 3.5sec not 5.1sec. 5.1sec is the P340 V6 auto, the P380 V6 is 4.9sec. P300 vs P575 or SVR is 1.9sec diff. Facts not fiction

F-Types are GORGEOUS! BUT... PLEASE don't try to sell me on a 4-cylinder Jaguar F-Type. It's a shame to call something with this engine a European sports car. Although, there are some upgrades I'd LOVE to have in my 2017 F-Type R.
