compared to a monster company like Merc, Jaguar has done an amazing job and has definitely caught the eye of many of the younger generation that might be able to afford the new XE. I like it, but I am biased because I love the C class in the sport body style a bit more.

I have driven both and as far as handling is concerned its not even close. The Jaguar XE is better by a mile. The more you push the better it gets. Its even better than BMW 3 series. But the Merc interior has a definite edge. So which car you choose depends on what your priorities are.

The back of the Jaguar disappoints me. It's not a stand out to begin with and the rear is just SO generic. The C-Class just looks premium. It may not be outrageously unique either, but see one on the road and you KNOW it's expensive.

KonaKoo well they should have kept with the striking Aston Martin style wrap around lights with the aluminium bar, it made the old XF look much more expensive than it is.

I test drove both before buying and easily bought the Jag 35t supercharged R sport. No discussion against the c300. And the 2018 new supercharged v6 0 to 60 at 4 secs. Foh with a C class benz comparison.

Jag is the more aggressive car, it’s handsome. But it’s 200kg heavier than the C-class. I have test driven the XE and I can feel every kg of its heavy body going up ramp, u-turning, parking etc. It just doesn’t appeal to the driver looking for a compact sedan.

Jake Deane A Jaguar is an Acura quality car asking for a Mercedes Price tag. Jaguar has no more prestige left in its name. If I wanted a luxury car without the prestige, I'd rather buy a Genesis for half the price. There's the top brands: Rolls Royce, Bently, Maybach Then there's BMW, Audi, Mercedes Then there's jaguar along with Acura, Lexus and Infiniti. +fs Pak Well, you're welcome to go ahead and buy a BMW with a Peugeot engine or a Mercedes with a Citroen engine. Or how about an Audi with a Skoda engine? Or a Bentley with a VW engine? Given that the Ford EcoBoost is a world-class engine for performance and efficiency, I don't see it as much of a problem ;-) Plus the Jag-designed Ingenium petrols will be out soon.
