2009 xf had the best interior even to this day. Edit: been in all the germans. Audi had my favourite virtual cockpit. 5 series is the best all rounder (G30, used ones are always clocked back.) The new Mercedes are underwhelming and the quality just isn't there anymore. Jaguars and Range rovers sadly, will always give you electrical issues etc.

Agree. I had a 2010 XF. Stunning interior, also so comfortable.

@@BarryMckockinah not for me. Ran my car for 5 years with no problems other than a door latch and a window winder. FJSH from new. I did get a coolant leak when I changed the timing belt. Other items were wear and tear. Never even had so much as a DPF problem. I sold the car when it was 11 years old to buy another, younger XF. I am a member of a FB Jaguar XF Owners and Enthusiasts group (32k members). There are quite a few posts about problems, but somebody made the point that such user groups do have that. The vast majority of owners who don't have a problem never post. One of the members ran a survey and 95% of members gave their XF top marks for reliability.

My dad had the 2009 3.0 petrol v6 in metallic white with a dark ruby red interior. Loved that car, he later had a V8 Audi s6 which was pure crap, then he had the cls400 which was also crap. It wasn’t until he bought an f10 535 afterwards when he got the car perfect again 😂

I love my Jaguar XF 2011 Portfolio Grace. (Made late 2010) I have the 75th anniversary with the gold colored "Jaguar 75" logo on black piano gloss at the front right underneath the aircondition controls. Moves pretty quickly with Arden remap and 2 new turbos (Turbos are original spec) The only issue which is driving me nuts is the well known infotainment issues which causes it to reboot randomly but it turns on and all touch controls work. I guess it is the bluetooth or aux module that is the culprit.

True. I'd kill to own an XFR of this generation someday but hell, overriding the system so that the retractable gear lever stays up all the time no matter what would be the first alteration I'll do to it to minimise my chance of getting getting stranded by the car if the motor that powers that operation ever breaks
