Is it possible to calculate the co2 emissions? I've bought a 97 xjr x300 import but since I'm in NZ registering it will cost $4000 alone due to the carbon tax, since the default one emits so much

I don’t know what the rated CO2 emissions are from factory unfortunately. It’s a Euro 2 emission standard car, so very old tech. It’s hard enough getting one of these through regular CO/HC emissions tests these days with old components, let alone worrying about CO2 emissions.

Looks like it has wrong bumper on the rear, looks like an X308 one

Of course, yes that is a X308 rear bumper. It was not uncommon back in the day for the chrome strip on an X300 bumper to get deformed, even by the smallest prang from a shopping trolley. Jaguar and others would recommend using an X308 bumper to replace an original X300 bumper purely on the basis of the chrome trim not going all the way round the bumper, hence it does not get as easily damaged. The X308 bumpers are a direct bolt on replacement on an X300 along with the front lights (quite a popular upgrade with some enthusiasts) and rear lights. There are other cool retrofits you can do from X308 to X300, such as fit the superior X308 rear hubs to an X300.

I would imagine with the current fuel prices the LPG conversion will pay for itself in, ..... let's say 3 weeks 😁

@@chrisgreenwood271 Yeah and that's why I can't wait to get my Daimler X308 back on the road, it was LPG converted when I bought it 11 yrs ago now. Can't believe it's been that long!!! lol
