Trust me, you won't miss it much. The ZF 6-speed in this baby is no joke. It shifts very quickly and the throttle blips on the downshifts are intoxicating. There is no need for a PDK or DSG when they are this smooth, especially around town. Try it, you'll like it.

Agreed on the compliments. As for your question: no I genuinely believe 550 hp is over stressing this chassis a bit, wich was originally created with a top model with 420 horse. Experienced drivers like a balanced car that only oversteers when they want it to.

Scray1 I’m driving to San Antonio to look at a Black on Black/red coupe tomorrow. 2012 w/50k miles, $32,000 - listed at $36k, but it’s been on the lot for 3+ months so they’re willing to deal before they have to pay stocking tax on it for March. I’m hoping it’s legitimately as nice as it looks in the pics. Wish me luck!

T Halo Bad. TL;DR- I waited too long and it was sold the day before I was going to look at it and most likely buy it. :-( I was waiting until Saturday to go down to look at it with my wife, that way I could drive it home that day and she could follow me back. On Friday morning I got a call from the dealership saying someone else was interested and was willing to pay “slightly more” than my offer. Thinking it was BS (and getting kind of pissed thinking they were playing games about a car on their lot for 3+ months) I told them I still wasn’t able to come down until the next day. That afternoon they called and told me it was sold. So I’m still on the lookout for one. As a plus, I started buying some motorcycles to play around with until then! Lol. If you click on my name you can see a quick video of the V-Max I’m going to build for drag racing.

Guys your videos are just spectacular!! This one particularly, all is perfect, the soundtracks, the filming, the editing, the presenter's talent ... the beautiful word play at the end of the review(from the presenter), my god!! But guys I have a question, don't you think that this jaguar is aimed more at the more experienced drivers who actually like tail-happy cars and who actually love the challenge and have the skills and experience to control cars like this ? What you notice between the XKR and the XKRS is the handling. Almost no body roll; great turn in and when I put it in track mode I never noticed the stability control system kick in at all! You have to turn the stability system off when on the track with the XKR because it kills the power at every turn. All of the issues that I had with the XKR have been resolved with the XKRS. Well - almost all, you have to be very patient when exiting a corner before gently squeezing the gas pedal. Cheers!

I think jaguar can make this car faster and more manageable by tweaking the weight distribution, lighter weight, more powerful brakes. By the way great video as always

Numbers don't always tell the truth. Go against one sometime and you will feel like your S4 is broken. It doesn't have very impressive straight line times because it doesn't have launch control and is rear wheel drive. If you are going - say, 30 mph - then punch it, it's scary fast! Comparable cars from watching races on the GTboard and real life are, Z06, SLS, R8-V10, new M5 - you get the idea. But all those races were from a 30+ mph start. I smoked a GT3 from 50-150? the other day.

I really like this car but a 2 door Jag with over 500 hp accelerating as quickly as a 4 door sedan (Audi S4) with almost half the hp...I don't understand where the power goes. I love the 4-door Jaguars now, they're some of the nicest looking sedans but the XKR seems too much like a worse looking Aston Martin.
