A lot of this season was not on Doug. The organization picked the wrong defensive coordinator if Doug was the one who ultimately hired them that is on him. But let’s not act like they have great roster talent, especially at back up positions when guys get hurt, and Trent still fumbled big time on the secondary in the defense and, the offensive and defensive line. Just as Doug started getting the offense together Trevor and a bunch of other guys started getting hurt.

Dear Shad Khan, please read about how Jim Harbaugh was let go from the 49ers. Please see the turnaround the Chargers had this season with less talent than last year but with Jim Harbaugh as HC. If you still decide to retain Baalke after that, I can’t honestly think you want the Jaguars to be competitive in 2025+. This must be a business decision related to tax write offs or something of the sort. There’s no point in buying tickets to Jags games, watching them lose or buying any merch. It's blatant to me why this organization is going backwards: the goal is not the Super Bowl. Shad said it himself - when it comes to success "you've got to be shooting for the playoffs". In the NFL, getting to the playoffs does not mean success... SUCCESS IS A CHAMPIONSHIP. You should be trying to build a CHAMPIONSHIP contender, not a playoff contender. When you shoot for mediocrity, don't be surprised that when you miss, you get abject failure.

I more think Shad meant not being eliminated from the playoffs with 5 games remaining. The short term is to be in the playoffs or in the hunt all the way up to week 18. We are far away from a superbowl win with the Lions, Vikings, Bills and Chiefs the top four teams with great QBs along with the Ravens as well.

To be perfectly honest, I followed Doug from Philadelphia and was rooting for his success here in Jacksonville. Didn’t know much about the team before him and don’t care to know much about it after. But in learning about the team some since he’s been here. He seems to be the only one who brought any type of success. I get that this year was horrible but I’m a little surprised. They did not give him the opportunity to try to make it right next year at all. And to not involve the quarterback who he just made the highest paid player last off-season is crazy.

You fired the wrong guy. You keep coaches around who have had losing records after losing records and the first guy who brought you back to back winning seasons you fire after one bad year. He wasn’t even given the chance to hire another defensive coordinator or to get help on the offensive side.the secondary and the offensive line were two of the biggest weaknesses, which were neglected by the GM. I understand winning now is a priority, but Doug was done dirty in my opinion. Players seem to have nothing but respect and admiration for him.

This year was an abomination, and your entire fan base was hoping that you let Trent go as the general manager which you did not have the courage to do so. As a Jaguars/Lions fan I've had a life of misery, but comparing where both teams are at today let's be clear: The Lions don't just have a great coach, their GM is an absolute genius. Dan Campbell wouldn't be at 15-2 without Brad Holmes' drafts and roster movement. Jaguars can try to get a good HC all they want (heck it might be Lions OC Ben Johnson or DC Aaron Glenn). But it won't work in the long-run with a crummy GM......
