Seeing someone with real vibes reacting to their first persona game for the first time is really special. Thanks for putting a smile on my face. I started playing this game about a week ago. I recently completed all of Persona 5 Royal…so I am somewhat familiar with the series. This is a remake from the persona 3 game that came out like 20 years ago. The stories, characters, music, and uniqueness of the gameplay of these games are what make them so good. They are not particularly difficult, but they are still very fun and a real party. It’s kind of like Pokémon but with an actual good story, music, and characters. They are very long games, but it’s worth it. Persona 5 Royal is incredible…it has beautiful handcrafted dungeons instead of this boring procedurally generated Tartarus. Aside from the dungeons and some special abilities you get in persona 5…I kinda like the vibe of persona 3 more. I’m gonna go play some persona 3 now too.

Persona is actually a spin-off a franchise called “Shin Megami Tensei” which has been around since 1987. Funnily enough, it’s actually pokemon that would be considered similar to persona in that sense.

You can save personas by "Registering" them into the compendium in the Velvet Room. You can purchase them with money later if you want one you used as fusion material in the past.

All-Out Attacks are your most effective means of attack, and in almost every situation you will want to take one if available. The enemy cannot dodge them and it deals a nice hit if Almighty damage which can’t be resisted. That said, the damage depends on how many party members are able to take part in the attack, and depending on the situation you may want to cancel the All-Out to use support/healing if you think the All-Out won’t end the fight. Another important thing to understand is Critical Hits. All Physical moves (Slash/Bash/Pierce damage) cost hp to use instead of SP, but they also have a chance to Crit the enemy if they do damage, which can knock them down even if they aren’t weak to it. If you know you can’t target a weakness, it may be better to attack with your weapon and fish for a Critical hit rather than waste SP on magic attacks that won’t hit a weakness.

A big tip on social links is to hang out with students on school days and non students on weekends and holidays. Doing it this way ensures you can talk to the most people, since hanging out with non students on school days ends up with nothing to do during late game where you often don't have school for long stretches of time
