Just going through the material you are given and working from the script and basically not preparing to a certain extent... thats what seperates an actor from an iconic actor. that is was seperates a guy like Jai Courtney from someone like Jared Leto for example. Leto has only a handful of movies and is already a very credible and Oscar winning actor whereas Jai Courtney will probably be stuck in either supporting characters in big movies or lead roles in smaller B-Pictures.....

Just because Leto is method and Jai isn't doesn't mean Jai doesn't prepare for his roles. Leto is method and that works for him but that's also very scary and can lead to mental issues. There are many amazing actors who aren't method and have won oscars.
