Opetia is cleaning up cruiserweight because cruiserweight is dead rn. When usyk was there it was more competitive. The best guy opetia fought and his hardest fight is a old version of a top cruiserweight from usyks era . Remember bivol easily beat zurdo and zurdo is suposed to be the best guy at cruiserweight other than opetia ... Cruiser weight is a uncompetitive division. I think the top heavyweights and light heavyweight dominate at cruiserweight

Jai is young, fast and aggressive. But he does walk into shots. And he doesn't have a great gas tank. I think he'd get stopped late

Borrowing this comment section: I do wonder if Turki has started to become what he first wanted stop? Wilder-Joshua, Fury-Joshua had great selling potential but now when he has seen the reality in Dubois, Parker, Zhang and especially Usyk ruin that potential he perhaps has understood that The road to the 'mega dream shows' is not fair. He may have started to reconsider the use of DeepStrike/JABBR etc, or could it be the networks putting pressure on him for doing so? Some people like us wants nothing but the truth but I feel the vast majority just wants to tune in for the show. They just want Charisma, trash talk and knockouts. Wilder and AJ represents all of that in the eyes of the casual money cows. My uncle for example dont like boxing per see and he dont like people of color either generally speaking but he loves Mike Tyson even to this day and dont want to look any further than that. He is so stuck in the 80's. And sure Tyson was the perfect posterboy for boxing and also the biggest reason i got interested myself in the first place but he simply is not the GOAT H2H in modern HW like some dreamers want to believe. My uncle even saw the F Jake Paul fight but totally ignores a guy like Usyk, and the rest.

To be quite honest the ones I see more often suggesting those crazy fights are not really Opetaia's fans. Are either as you mention some fanbois or for the most part folks who really don't like him. Mate I even saw some screaming how Canelo should be fighting Opetaia and would school him... f Canelo... The truth is, Ramirez and the otehr belt holder are the only serious fights Opetaia should chase now, after that... we'll see where the cookies crumble, most likely Usyk and Beterbiev will be retired by then (as imo they both should).

Clearly Eddie Hearn after seeing how jai struggled against this late replacement fighter that gave jai problems getting wobbled in the process, did everything to avoid even mentioning a possible fight with Ramirez which is the one that makes sense, and just mentioned fantasy fights against usyk and beterbiev. All of a sudden unification is no longer a goal. I agree jai is a good fighter, but he is pretty over hyped and not what they are trying to sell us. At least at this stage. He can always improve.

My scorecard: Beterbiev vs Bivol *1B, 2B* *3A* (Bivol land sporadic combination, Artur more consistent body and head shots though they were single shots) *4B* (Very close round, Bivol landed combinations Artur pressed the action, and finished the round strong) *5A* (Another very close round, a lot of shots were blocked by both fighters. Artur slightly landed more towards the end) *6A* (Walking him down, consistent, landing heavy leather esp to the body, blocking most of Bivol's attacks, Bivol not active) *7A* (Could have been a Bivol round but Artur landed heavy shots in succession, he hurt Bivol who shelled up the whole time) *8B* (Extremely close round, could have gone either way; the flurry at the end, though blocked, edges it to Bivol? It could have easily been an Artur round, landing the heavier shots, but Bivol was active in this round, too and stood his ground. Close round.) *9B* (As beautiful of a round for Bivol as he was in the 1st and 2nd-ACTIVE, stood his ground, picked his shots, defended well.) *10A* (Strong round by Artur, pressed the actions, Bivol landed about 2 shots, extremely inactive. Maybe recuperating from the 9th round?) *11A* (Artur is a Machine, strong round.) -This is the only time they are showing highlights from Artur Beterbiev. When you know you know 😉. Nah Bivol didn't beat Beterbiev, that fight was close in the sense that fans saw both sides doing work, but the last part of the fight Bivol was a beaten man, he was just running, it was clear Beterbiev's work was far superior, surviving the last 3 rounds is not winning a fight. 32 year old Beterbiev walks right through Bivol easily. And I do mean EASILY, near 40 is a massive difference to 30, phsycially Beterbiev is an old man as an athlete. This bullshit about his physical health is just dumb, he's had to rely on his skill to beat guys, he's an old man. In sports as a rule 40 is done. 35 is usually done, in athletic sports 30 is old as feck, but I get it fans want to believe these guys are the same due to their idealogical fan boy beliefs when they fight their guy. But like watching old Pac, that's just hard, just retire, argh hard to watch. I'm in my 50's, each decade is a rediculous slow down from the previous.

A lot of people are forgetting, Opetaia gets hit & lit up a hell of a lot. If his fans & promoter wants him to fight Usyk, they're overlooking the fact that Usyk constantly lights up opponents with a solid defence with little to no effort, someone who finds his range with his backhand in the first few seconds of the first round. Usyk, in my opinion, wants to become 2x undisputed at Heavyweight against Parker/Dubois, even if he does that & drops to Cruiserweight he'll likely have a tune-up, meanwhile Opetaia still has a fight or two to go, potentially quite tough fights. Would Usyk wait for him?... I think maybe, but it's also worth noting that Usyk (and his cut man Russ Anber) have stated before that he finds it hard to stay around 220lb+ at Heavyweight, if he gets down to Cruiserweight & keeps his upper-body strength, that's one hell of a dangerous Usyk even at 39/40 years of age. Opetaia has a long way to go, I'd love to see him become undisputed at Cruiserweight & make a go for it at Heavyweight. Having said all that, Opetaia just needs to follow his own path, regardless of who he fights & doesn't, I doubt many people will give him too much bother if he doesn't fight the likes of Usyk & Beterbiev.
