Missing Link Project Update November 2024
Mumbai Pune Expressway’s 13.3 km Missing Link project by MSRDC is an under construction 8 lane access-controlled highway connecting Khopoli to Kusgaon.
This will bypass Khandala Ghat’s hairpin turns which are prone to landslides, reduce distance by 6 km, reduce travel time by 25 minutes, and provide a straighter route.
This is the August 2024 update of the same.

Good coverage of the project in the video... 👍 I needed the map view as to exactly how the new alignment is and I needed the drone shot of this project from one end to other... got both. With regards, to the project itself, albeit delayed (should have been done a few years after the expressway, around 2006/08) but its technically challenging and its impact is going be significant.

Due to this ongoing project since 5 years, whenever I cross khalapur toll plaza and pay 320/- toll, immediately I get stuck in blockage , it take almost 3 hours to cross Khandala tunnel

They just made this extension so that they can keep charging exorbitant toll fees. Imagine what happens if some heavy vehicle gets stalled in the 8.9km viaduct? What if it’s carrying hazardous cargo? The problem of congestion at lonavla is not because of the twists and turns, it’s because of trucks that are not maintained properly and are carrying heavy loads. The new viaduct is more dangerous when you consider the things that can go wrong during an emergency 🚨

No Mumbai 3.0 is a big project. An entire new city on the lines of Navi Mumbai but bigger and better than Navi Mumbai will be built. Naina is influenced by a notified area which comes under Mumbai 3.0. Naina is a 25 km radius of NMIA. While Mumbai 3.0 or Karnala-Sai-Chiner KSC city will be huge.

I voted to bjp candidate as a guy from marathwada, only in BJP era, new projects came to marathwada, otherwise sharad pawar is mainly focused on west maharastra and his union leaders are just puppets of him. Uddhav thackrey even apologied for his father's work in dangals. He is a guy with no principles , raj Thackeray is a great man but nepotism killed his carrier.
