Fuck man this was good. You need to get into a studio and make a pro version of this.
@jaikwillis9 жыл бұрын
+Horatio Huffnagel right on, you payin' ? haha Recording was a 20th century game, no one pays for recordings anymore, so we can't pay to make recordings. I play live usually 5 or 7 shows a week. If someone is paying for sessions I'll be happy to sing there too, but on my own I can't do anything about it. I'm glad you enjoyed the noises.
@horatiohuffnagel79789 жыл бұрын
jaik willis Ok I didn't mean like a full on studio. I mean more like these guys you see doing covers. They just have a few mics and run them and the guitar into their computers. You'd need an acoustic with a pickup or still might choose to use an amp that's miked. In a decent sounding room of course but they do get some nice sounding stuff out of these home built "studios" Cheers still.
@jaikwillis9 жыл бұрын
+Horatio Huffnagel you buyin?
@MDHNYC8 жыл бұрын
+Jaik Willis - Fuck the studio crap. I was never one for trying to capture that "magic" a live performance offers. I don't care how good or expensive the recording is. There's no replacement for a live performance. I can tell you're one those musicians that knows that. Fuck, The Beatles had $ and the genious of George Martin behind them telling them, "Hey, first take, and that's it!" That's because Martin knew nothing matches the emotion, depth, energy and vibe of you playing your song the very first time around. Mistakes and all. In fact, the unintended mistakes caught while recording are what makes it rock n roll. Alright, this isn't technically a "mistake", but listen to Zeppelin's song Houses of the Holy. Somewhere towards the middle, you begin to hear the squeak sound coming from John Bonham's kick drum pedal. And they left the fucking sound in! Thank God for that! Nowadays, a digitally recorded version would've probably automatically muted those sounds considered "extraneous" by the computer. And of course, like you said, it all takes $. Hey, just keep doing what you're doing with your live performances and thank you for being gracious enough to share them with us. You're very talented and if it weren't for KZbin I'd probably never hear about you because Lord knows none of those brainless, televised "singing competitions" are going to allow anyone to go on their shithole programs and let a REAL unknown talented musician, as yourself, to go on and jam out your interpretation of Sabbath Bloody Sabbath. Well, maybe they'd let Kanye do it, but we already know what that would sound like!
