I no nobody bought one but the Wii U deserved a mention. It's actually kinda a homebrew beast being able to natively run "backups" of Wii U, Wii and Gamecube games as well as having enough power to emulate all sorts of retro systems.

Did you just make up that definition? Searching it on Google doesn't bring up any results. NES - Kinda confused how the Game Genie and Action Replay "used cheat codes and hardware modifications to bypass the console's security measures"? They bypassed the security by using the CIC of the authentic cartridge attached. There were also unlicensed games that worked by using a clone of the CIC chip or by zapping the CIC in the console to disable it. SNES - The Super Magicom came before the Super Wild Card and they both could be used a cheap development kits as well. As a side note, even licensed studios were using their own dev kit creations. GBA - Action Replay did not allow code execution and couldn't run anything you listed. There were flash cartridges that could achieve this, but not the Action Replay. NDS - PassMe and many others came before R4. R4 was simply the first mass marketed slot 1 device. The timebomb only bricked the flash card, not the device itself and could be easily bypassed with other methods. 3DS - Gateway and other flash carts came before ninjhax, but I'll give you credit since this is the first thing that actually resembles a "jailbreak". Ninjahax was outdated by 2018 which is why you likely remember it being far easier. Wii - This part is actually pretty good. Switch - It's based on the nVidia Tegra and the vulnerability used for fusee-gelee was known before it even released. It was also possible to run homebrew before this. Sorry, I don't mean to nitpick at everything, but I clicked the video hoping to hear an interesting recap. Instead it's either incorrect info or a brief mention of a particular device which wasn't even the first to allow code execution or piracy. I see that this is a fairly new channel, so I hope I don't discourage you from creating more, just maybe fact check or do topics you're more familiar with.

I feel like this video is far from good. Perhaps this is okay for a very light undrrstanding of homebrewing and jailbreaking but the writing is all over the place. A point would be the game genie which itself started cheat codes (as in modding and not built-in) you began to explain the gameshark and how it would effect a game with cheat codes like it started it. Your writing is 3 steps forward, 5 backwards, maybe a step to the left. I just don't get the reason why you didn't more clearly set hacking devices/softmods/hardmods per era of nintendo console. Game boy was just left out, it even had a game genie. Maybe you could've explain with I presume your shallow understanding to at least explain region moding to play games from out of regoin which would go under your definetion. I have a high hopes for you, your editing is quite good but there is a deep end for a reason. Something like hacking of consoles is a more indeepth topic that is more important explain key device throughly for each console. If you are going to talk about every nintendo console at least make something longer, like 30 to 24 mins; like some tv special. The length of a more indeepth video will make it be more relavant longer term. I'll be honest you likely watched like 5 videos on hacking and used that as the foundation.

Sorry about the late response but yeah this video was very lacking in information and some of the info I provided wasn't completely accurate. It was my first time ever writing a script like this so I wasn't too sure what I was doing.
