Sad but true. It feels like Jaime Lannister was stolen from us. Such a pity. Thank you for amazing video!

I feel like everyone has moved on already and here I am still sulking about because of what they did to Jaime. He is one of the most complicated and high-potential characters ever written (in my opinion of course) and Nikolaj was perfect for the job. He was the guy we all loved to hate and then loved to love. The perfect example of a (quite extreme) human being: imperfect, trying to do the right thing, struggling, molded by betrayal and expectations and disappointment, fighting his own feelings, never being enough for his sister, his father... AND THEN THIS?! It hurts my damn SOUL.

100% agree with you about Jaime's ending... D&D sacrificed his character's entire arc for a mediocre death scene with Cersei. On a completely different note, this is a wonderful tribute to him!

I’m so sad he deserved a better ending and not an ooc ending. Thank you 😊

@@akutvgawa I couldn't agree more with you guys. Jaime in my opinion may actually have one of the most profound character arcs of the whole show and they kill him off with Cersei. He ends in the same place (metaphorically speaking) he began, like none of that character development meant anything. So disappointed :(

It wasnt a mediocre ending. It was perfect. He died with the women he loved. Always. I would have hated it if he ended up with brienne
@bitzibaerlie2 жыл бұрын
I know that I am in the minority but Jaime's arc was one of very few I think the show did justice. Only complaint I had was him sleeping with Brienne. That felt so forced, just an attempt to appeal to the shippers. And the scene leading up to it was the worst in the whole show to me. But him not being able to abandon Cersei after all was so bitterweet. And I think it fit his character quite well to abandon potential happiness because he feels like he does not deserve it. Oh, and I love the scene when Brienne writes into the book. That had me in tears. As did Jaime knighting Brienne, for that matter. I think both of those scenes are beautiful conclusions to their shared character arc, one from Jaime's perspective and the other from Brienne's.
@tetsushatarii21085 жыл бұрын
I hate to say it but this needs to be edited to have Brienne writing his story at the end of episode 6... up until that moment I thought his arc had been ruined too. But no. His arc just wasn’t one of redemption. But a tragic arc of a man who just couldn’t believe he was good even to the very end.

i was so angry after the episode, jaime being my favorite character, i had to take a long walk...just so sad that they threw away seven seasons of character development to make him go back to his abuser and have cersei and him die some "romantic" death that made no logical sense. what angered me the most was that they had him say he didnt care too much about innocents; as if him killing the mad kind meant nothing.

Maeve Murphy I 100% agree with you, they really did him dirty

I didnt watch the last episode but when Brienne wrote in the book, did she include when he was kingslayer which saved the entire population of KL? It really pissed me off that Bran or Brienne never mentioned this when Dany was grilling him at Winterfell. But then Jon Snow's true identity wasnt acknowledged either. Such a disappointing end for my favourite character.

Great tribute but I don't agree with his arc being ruined. Of all the crap in season eight I feel Jamie's ending was the best. Jamie's arc works because he goes back to his evil and toxic sister in life not everyone beats their own demons and in the end jamie couldn't give up on her, he even gives up his own happy ending for her. It's a real story that's why I love it.

@akutvgawa3 жыл бұрын
I didn’t... understand it ? D&D literally made Jaime say he never cared about the innocent lives when he’s been called the Kingslayer for years to save the population of King’s Landing. Jaime’s character arc was ruined
@Antsuthegreat3 жыл бұрын
@@akutvgawa he was just being witty. He cared about innocents lives. He was same Jaime from start to finish in the show. People were just mistaking seeing things in his perspective to him being changed man. He was always same guy but in the beginning of the show it was shown without his take of what had happen. His arc would have been ruined if he would have stand Winterfell with Brienne instead of going to defend his sister.

It was not ruined. He did took the redemption road to the end. Killing Cersei would have been good, but dying with her is even better. It makes more sense. If we really like the character, we should accept it when he behaves according to what he has always been.
@darestone33355 жыл бұрын
No. He is not behaving like he has always been. He is behaving like he would have in season 1. He is no longer the man he once was. He has grown to be a man of dignity, justice and honor not just for his house, but for all and he has released that Cersie is evil. This sudden turn in Jamie's psych is completely out of character if you factor in his character development.
@akutvgawa5 жыл бұрын
I like the character and that’s why I’m not going to accept the fact that they made him go back to his abusive and toxic relationship. And it would have made sense if they had shown us why he changed like that in one episode lmao Moreover, he said that he didn’t care about the innocent lives. Even season 1 Jaime doesn’t think that. He ruined his whole reputation for the safety of the innocents.

why do people think he would have left the woman carrying his child alone in the last moments of her life alone... even if not for her... at least for the child she was carrying he was responsible for her... him fighting with the Starks and Targaryens against a the woman he has known since birth and would be the mother of his child, made no sense to me.. also him staying safe at winterfell while his to be born child died again would have destroyed his character for me.. he died with honor in my eyes.. trying to protect his child and the woman he got pregnant (who was also his family and the woman he had loved his whole life as gross and toxic as that might be)
