So, boring story. My vet friend gave me some huge bovine gauge needles for free to use for culinary purposes. The huge size of needle is small enough to inject colorful pudding inside globes of clear jelly to make edible flowers inside rain drops. He said I totally could clean these needles and reuse them. Maybe the shear size is the reason?

I looked it up, it used to have shows on house flipping, custom cars, a baby story, a wedding story, and other human interest stories. They even had Walter Cronkite and Donald Sutherland reviewing classic literature. What not to wear 2003 was the first “shock show.” I think the goal is to give an education on sociology, but it’s just drama now. Maybe Jon & Kate Plus 8 unintentionally shifted things.

That syringe was most definitely not from any needle exchange I've ever used. They give out a couple different size gauge diabetic syringes, and they're small. Side note: sober since 05 Mar 2017 Edit: the needle exchanges I've used were in the US and Canada (dozens of cities) and in South America (only in Brazil; more specifically, Sao Bernardo do Campo and Santo Andre, and then Rio), so I can't speak on the sizes and types of syringes provided by any exchange outside of those areas--if I'd have thought of it while writing my original post, I would have specified which countries '(the only) needle exchange I've ever used' were in...but that's what edits are for!

Yeah, my first thought was "where is the root?", and my second thought was how much more expensive the procedure is going to be now that they'll probably have to go digging for that root. The thing about reusing needles is less about the sterilization and more about the fact that the tip dulls after one use. Using it FOUR TIMES is just asking for a hugely painful shot that can damage the skin and potentially the muscle and nerves where you shoot it :/

Because of how big she is, I'd say this is absolutely why. As a young overweight child, I'm sure her mom tried to limit her the best she could. but she was always so hungry that yea .. that's how it started. This isn't on the mom. There's tons of kids whether they are just destined to be fat or what, but they're overweight and scarily hungry. I once saw a 7 year old boy say he was so hungry all the time, even after 3 meals a day and snacks in between. He fantasized about killing his mom just to be able to eat everything in the house in peace for a day or two until the cops came. Like wtf. Something in the brain isn't braining.

I used to volunteer for a syringe exchange program for my county, so I feel I must point out that NO, it is not safe to reuse needles. Even if you're cleaning them with rubbing alcohol (which isn't 100% effective for something with so many crevices), it's not just a germ thing. The needle gets dulled and damaged every time you use it, so it will cause more damage to your skin and possibly lead to skin infections or abscess. Those can also spread and lead to endocarditis, an inflammation of the heart, which can be very serious

I started to have some concerning digestion issues, so I ordered the ingredients to make my own. Ugh, so embarrassing. Anyway, turns out that I was just lacking in some kind of vitamin. As soon as I started taking a multi vitamin, the craving, and weird urge to eat the Vapo Rub went away. So I feel like, for the most part, people are faking. You could smell it outdoors before even being directly at my house 😮. I had never had anything weird before that (or since). After about a year, I ended up learning I was extremely anemic and had to begin iron infusions at hospital. Was stunned that I began literally gagging at Pine Sol smells. Ended up searching online and discovered there are actually many people that had the same issue with Pine Sol. Never used it again. My dad never had proper dental care ( because of homelessness, addiction, or foster care when he was young ) and he pulled out all 4 of his wisdom teeth throughout his life. My mom said one time he did it with a fork while they were talking at the table; she didn’t even know that’s what he was doing she just thought he was getting something out of his tooth, another time he did it with whiskey and some pliers, and another time he did it with a Swiss army knife. He always said he’d be in so much pain from the tooth ache that removing it himself was a relief. I’m like really not surprised these people did that, and it does seem like they aren’t well off or anything and do need to have a strict budget to get by.

There was another woman who was addicted to eating mattresses and her mom apparently didn't bother doing anything about it for 16 years. I know Extreme Cheapskates exaggerates stuff for tv and my assumption is My Strange Addiction/similar shows also exaggerate. I know people do actually eat weird stuff, but it doesn't make sense to me that as an adult you would just let your child eat an entire car seat without doing anything. My dog ate some of the foam on our ottoman when she was teething, we noticed, and figured out how to stop it (basically just put a cardboard barrier around the bottom).

I’m not proud of this, but I did remove my own tooth once. I didn’t do this out of choice though! This was during the peak of the pandemic, and getting a dentist appointment was next to impossible. I simply was in too much pain, so I couldn’t deal with waiting. I have since been to the dentist. I mentioned that I had to do this to him, and he commented on what a good job I did. The tooth cracked into bits, which made it easier and harder to remove, at the same time. He said shockingly that I actually got all of the bits out and it’s healed well. What's the trick? Pretty much just use an alcohol rinse before.....then apply pressure.....then regular salt water rinse regularly after the first day? I was shocked my orthodontist removed 3 wisdom teeth in about 40 mins. The sounds in my brain were horrible but almost no pain with the numbing injections.
@HarryDunlopClark
@HarryDunlopClark 10 ай бұрын
@@tjjones-xj7kq yeah, I did an alcohol rinse first. But the actual tooth was already cracked down the middle (it was a wisdom tooth), so that gave me some leverage. Then when I was removing it, it was breaking up more. Sounds grim, but it helped a lot. It was just getting all the bits out then. The dentist has actually since told me he is quite impressed that I got it all out. For numbing, I used oragel and also a CRAP load of clove oil. That clove oil numbs you up SO well. Just have to be careful where you get it. I got it all over my cheeks and lips and it was all numb 🤣 It does wear off somewhat quickly though so had to keep re applying it hence getting it EVERYWHERE. But, and it’s a big but. It tastes fucking AWFUL. So, so bad. I’m actually now at the point the wisdom tooth has come through cracked on the other side. I’ve been debating the last week if I should just do it myself again. I’m leaning towards that option 🤣 This tooth is a bit more cracked, so should be easier. I also wouldn’t be as nervous. We will see…

@@HarryDunlopClark TLDR:If you have decent insurance I'd strongly recommend you go to a dentist. You did well once but it can go wrong and you are at a horrible position to see what's going on and dig out a small piece of stuck root. Great job on doing it yourself! I had to have a root canal done on a tooth that was extremely painful. It of course started hurting on Friday (they're open only M-Thu with "emergency" appointments other times at a high cost) so I used clove oil from a kit on my cracked tooth. It DOES work GREAT! I was so happy how well it worked. I made it till Monday where they sneaked me in. However for me it said don't get any on your gums or anything but tooth. I know why my gums hurt not numb but painful. So idk but I was careful to avoid the skin. All that said a dentist/Ortho is nice for screwy roots that will break off under the gum surface and require them to go and cut the tissue to get the root fibers out. You don't really know till you see an X-ray. I lucked out since the doc was worried about one of mine. Luckily the root cane out fine. At least you didn't deal with a annoyed dental hygienist. The one I had I think was having a bad day. Doc was cool though. Oh and the $1K dollar bill hurt more than the removal!!!! Cost over $300 per tooth! Glad I was only born with 3. That was WITHOUT the drugs that make you high and goofie. I only had the face numbing injections like with a regular cavity filling. No fancy drug that makes me forget what's what. Fun times 3/10 wouldn't do it again😂

I just gotta tell you why I love reaction videos, but maybe you will think it's weird. I totally get why people think, "why would you want to watch someone else watch something?" but... there is something lovely about it. I like watching how people react to my favorite movies-- maybe they notice things I didn't, or they see things different, or maybe they love it just like me and it's fun to re-live my favorite moments as if it's the first time with this other person. We have to be aware that these are parasocial relationships, but there is something about it that feels less lonely than just rewatching your favorite movie for the millionth time. It's like sharing something with someone, even though it's technically one-sided... it can bring sooo much joy and interest and curiosity. It provides insight into other people's perspectives and experiences. It can give you new appreciation for something you've felt jaded about. It helps with feelings of loneliness in some way. For me, this is why I really love reaction videos. Specifically, people reacting to movies, TV shows, and music that I really like, and they are exposed for the first time. Those can be so interesting!

A lot of families in PR were poor and lived very rurally, with no access to dentists or doctors not so long ago. My dad, many of my aunts and uncles, almost all of our grandparents and parents in PR were born in their homes because the hospital was days away on foot or by horse. They would get checked and registered days or weeks after they were born, and a lot of times the info on their birth certificate ended up being wrong because of this.

Every once in a while (actually more often than not) I have a HORRIBLE day. Then I open my laptop and there's our Jaime with another hilarious video that makes me feel like I can face my life. If Jaime can do it, I can do it. I absolutely love her! So grateful for her. She's made me laugh at some of the saddest days of my life. Bless you, Jaime. You reach more people than you know, in the best ways ever.💕

Also, is the eating... non-traditional... things related to Pica? I remember ppl talking about that when the matress maitresse episode came out.

Even your title made me laugh! So true. Side note, I think Lila should press charges. Those are the most awkward eyes and smile I've ever seen

Fun fact. I used to be a vet tech. I did see a dog that ate pieces of a foam mattress. He did not survive- the foam stretched his intestines so badly they could not absorb nutrients anymore.

Doesn't the acronym TLC mean The learning channel? The only thing I'm learning is that mental health care is not readily available to those who are in desperate need of help.
