Should be done? I cover up my technical weakness by dinoing(probably not a word) instead of utilizing better footwork. Is that "wrong"? If it takes me to the top I'm not complaining. This will obviously come back to bite me when I attempt harder problems. Basically, everyone has their own style ;) She's amazing, but I enjoy dynamic climbing more than static. So for me, that's not how climbing should be done. It's definitely how it could be done though, and done well.

Jain is a very dynamic climber. Due to her size, often times she has to launch or swing her way up to the next hold where other climbers just simply reach out and grab it. She is so smooth and effortless that it may look static at a casual glance.

really good sport, i love climbing and the people you meet are usually really nice and healthy type of people. its also fun and challenging with no limits as everyone starts off at the easy climbs and works there way up over time and training. Jain Kim is very skilled, experienced and methodical climber. a joy to watch these athletes at work.

Just go to your next climbing centre and try it. often there are courses for beginners. climbing costs : shoes 80 - 130 € rope 120 € express set 90€ harness 40€ helmet 40€ all in all not that expensive. but plus costs for climbing gym

+Ward Van Damme when you begin, you just need shoes, harness and a belay device. all of it together should be arounf 120€. you don't need a rope before you lead (more like 90€) and you don't need express sets (about 45€) before you go outside. Helmets are optional..

+Ward Van Damme no age limit. Like others said. You'll need shoes, chalk and boulder at a minimum. The gym memberships are kinda expensive $100+ a month. You'll need a harness if you wanna climb top rope or lead climb like in the video. Good rope is kinda expensive $200+. Then you'll need some additional gear. Like quick draws, seen in the video. There's also traditional climbing which requires a lot of gear. A decent rack will cost around 2k.

I would suggest going to an indoor climbing wall, where all of the necessary gear is provided. If you would like to buy your own gear, you might be looking at $500-$1000 assuming you buy new. But if you try climbing on an actual rock, in the actual outdoors I would suggest going with a guide. As far as age goes, you can be as young as 3 or as old as 83, as long as you can physically support yourself you're good to go.

Can I ask a dumb non climber question? How do climbers get all their gear back? All those clips and pinchy gear like wotnots they stick in little nooks and crannies. Do they get those back? They look expensive and cliffs would be jammed with loads of them. If there's 2 climbers o suppose the second climber can get them on the way but what if you're on your own?
