Jaishankar Turns The Tables On Canada Over Arrest Of 3 Indians In Nijjar Case; ‘Welcoming Gangs…’

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar acknowledged that three Indians were arrested by Canada in connection with the murder of Sikh radical Hardeep Singh Nijjar. Jaishankar said India will wait for information from the Canadian Police on the arrests, but once again reminded Ottawa of New Delhi’s concerns. “But, as I said, one of our concerns which we have been telling them is that, you know, they have allowed organised crime from India, specifically from Punjab, to operate in Canada,” Jaishankar was quoted as saying by Reuters. As a Canadian, you should not take it as personal disrespect, you should acknowledge the wrongs. As a Canadian, don't you personally feel that everyone should be vetted before giving visa. Talking about me, I've lived in Europe for 4 years, and I'm thinking to spend atleast 2-3 years in North America. Then I'll eventually live again in India because of the family culture. I agree about freedom index, you don't have absolute freedom of speech. But I strongly condone vetting of each and everyone irrespective of what country it is. If he was found to be guilty of any crime before entering Canada his citizenship could have been revoked and he would soon be on a flight back home. There is a legal process here for that. Had he been planning terrorist acts in Canada and caught doing them after being a citizen he could be arrested and tried in Canada under Canadian law as a Canadian citizen. If it was proven he had actually killed someone in another country after he had become a citizen then there are laws here for extradition to that country. happens all the time here mostly between Canada and the USA. He could not lose his citizenship for that because that is what the law says. We cannot and must not break our own laws here or there could be anarchy. They were made for good reasons here and took many years to develop. Sorry if that hurts your feelings but the law rules here. If our own PM murdered someone or had someone murdered on his orders he could be arrested, tried and sent to prison. There is no longer a death penalty in Canada.
