The enemies interrupting the player should not have ever been part of the game design during these challenges. It's more of a nuisance than a fun difficulty. Like the annoyance of Batman Arkham Knight tank segments

I agree 100%! While I admittedly had great difficulty with jak 2, there are just some things the devs did in 2 and 3 that are just silly. At least jak 3 had checkpoints though 😂

you can cheat all of these challenges by tricking the game into letting you use the dune hopper (no glitch no hax just clever trickery :D) I recommend unlocking the fast jetboard cheat first before doing any of this (just for convenience) step 1: drive the dune hopper to the challenge point. step 2: return to the spargus city garage on foot (or use the jetboard cheat to save yourself a bunch of time)and drive the sand shark (or any buggy that the challenge allows) back to the challenge point...

I always use the heat seeker for the rolls and the desert screamer for everything else.

I use dust demon for rolls instead although the heat seeker works better

I think pretty much everyone uses the Desert Screamer for the Hang Time challenges tbh, although I would also recommend that buggy for the Distance challenges as well - rather than the Dust Demon, whose jump is even worse than the Sand Shark's lol. And yeah, the Heat Seeker really is the best vehicle for the Roll challenge, given that it spins out over even the slightest nudge! Then of course, there's the cheating way to get past the Hang Time challenges...although I typically only do that as a last resort.

step 3: start any of the challenges on the list and then use the dune hopper instead of the sand shark (or whatever vehicle you chose). the challenge simply detects which vehicle you last used in the wasteland so it's very easy to trick :)

How do you get the dune hopper out there though? It wont let you start the challenge with it.

@@seasgarage you can drive out with one of the required vehicles then use the jet board with turbo cheat to go back and get dune hooper. Jump in the original vehicle the start the challenge then get in dune hopper

i just love jak and daxter i played it all the time on the PS2 and now it came to the PS3 so ofc i bought it :P thanks man, this video is gonna help me to get the 600 orbs for the platinum

@Confury Well its a playstation exclusive, it will have trophies which is xbox achivements, but im afraid its only for Ps3

These aren't so bad once you buy the infinite turbos cheat and I would seriously recommend that for the roll challenge in particular because the roll challenge is random bullshit. Other than that, they're not bad.

which isn't likely i'm afraid. you can however get a vita version if you're running out of plugs. however the frame rate bugs can be quite annoying :/

I don't remember actually, either I got lucky with a glitch for that time or I had infinite boost or something (that's a thing in this game right?). Been too long for me to remember. Thanks for watching though :)
