Jakarta, paradise for shopping and gastronomy lovers. Local, Mexican, Morocco, Asia, Europe, Africa and many more. Just say and explore. All restaurants are available. Jakarta has over 200 malls. Jakarta as the city's beauty and the beast. The Jakarta vibe from bad smell to good smell, from cheap to very expensive. From the worst to the luxurious. Jakarta is like a merry go round. Lots to like in this video! All parts are my favourite! I find the non- tourist places the most interesting and 'true' to the real culture of the country. I grew up with smoking indoors, in cafes, on public transport- in fact everywhere- so I wouldn't be surprised by that- haha. The aerial pics were great, thank you. I reckon your idea of having a milo in every country you visit is a challenge you would easily fulfil! Go team milo! Did you watch the puppet show? Hope you gave the kitten something to eat! I love Nasi Goreng and I'm sure I'd feel the same about Roti boy! Love your friendly, happy vibe. Thanks for sharing. Cheers -

the meat balls you mention called Bakso. Its a sup with meat balls and optional to add up with sambal kicap. spicy off course and dont added to much and can get sweaty. I Never been to Jakarta but I did visted Bandung. Its around 20 to 24 celcius there. While you in Indonesia , try nasi ayam penyet. And try to find avocado juice mix with chocolate there. the taste of the juice its amazing while I was in Bandung. Maybe you can find it Jakarta somewhere. Oh one more thing try to find buah salak fruit. Its a fruit with a snake skin. Trust me you can peal from your hand... and watch out the seed. Dont swalow the seed and its big...

Welcome to Indonesia :) You should try bread from Indonesia, its called Roti'O (Roti O). Roti'O is a food and beverage product (such as bread) owned by PT Sebastian Citra Indonesia. This product was founded on May 23, 2012 and has more than 100 branches all over Indonesia. Another Indonesia's international products you can try are: - J.CO (donuts & coffee), all foreigners admit this product better than dunkin donuts. This product belonging to the Johnny Andrean Group has good taste and many people like it. Donut connoisseurs can not only get it in Indonesia but also in Singapore, Malaysia, and even China. - Hoka-Hoka Bento or HokBen (Japanese resto) such as beef teriyaki, chicken yakiniku and others. This is a Japanese fast food chain of restaurants headquartered in Jakarta, Indonesia. The chain of restaurants today span across Java, Bali and Sumatra. The name Hoka Hoka Bento is derived from Japanese which means "steaming bento" (Japanese meal in a package). - Indomie (instant noodles) This is one of the products of PT. Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk which is already worldwide. The company has been supplying Indomie since 1972 and according to a consumer survey from the British agency Kantar Worldpanel, Indomie has been ranked as the eighth best-selling FMCG in the world. - Kopiko (coffee candy). This Mayora Group’s coffee candy product have penetrated the market in more than 50 countries such as the Netherlands, Germany, Australia, Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Poland, to South Africa. - Kacang Dua Kelinci (bean/peanuts snack) Kacang Dua Kelinci is the official sponsor of football clubs as well (such as Liverpool) as a favorite bean snack for the people of Indonesia and other parts of the world such as Australia, China, Saudi Arabia, the United States, and many more. - Silver Queen (chocolate bar). Choose the original flavor which contains chocolate and cashews, it's the best one! SilverQueen is an original Indonesian chocolate product that was first produced in Garut, West Java own by PT Petra Food. Even after being famous in the world, this chocolate brand is still managed by a company from Indonesia. In fact, Petra Food also penetrates the European market and has factories in Mexico, Brazil, and several European countries, and known well in Thailand, the Philippines, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia and others countries. In fact, now Petra Food has become the number three chocolate producer in the world!

Apa Kabar is a very formal way of greetinngs, people in Indonesia don’t often say that, that’s why they don’t respond so much because they simply have no idea how to respond to Apa Kabar. Usually Indonesian say Hi, gimana kabarnya, then straight to business, but if you are just greeting and don’t want to engage in conversation , just use halo, permisi/misi or mari which means hello, excuse me and let’s go (but it’s a greeting form like “I’ll get going”, when you want to ask people to go with you, you use ayo or yuk instead).
@josieliftsthings2 жыл бұрын
THIS HELPS SO MUCH! This was exactly what I wanted to know, thank you thank you! 😁😁😁🙏🏻🙏🏻
@AlexS-oj8qf2 жыл бұрын
@@josieliftsthings here are some phrases that I think you should know to communicate easier (in non formal Indonesian ofc): 1. Siapa Namanya? : Who’s your name? Use this if you want to engage with children, basically ask general questions that they can answer. 2. Dari Mana? : Where are you from? (Typical Indonesian small talk), Indonesian are curious and they would like to know where people are from, and not just to foreigners but fellow Indonesian as well, it’s their way to accommodate people from different ethnicity across Indonesia, like if it happens to be fellow ethnicity they could speak in their native tongue, but if from different ethnicity they will remain using Indonesian, also determine topics (if from same province / town, maybe talk about things from back there, if from different area then talk about general topic, etc). 3. Mau Kemana? : Where are you going? (This is also typical Indonesian small talk), if someone ask you this just say “Mau Jalan-Jalan : I’m out for a walk” and if they follow up with “Kemana? : To Where?” You can simply Reply “Keliling aja : Just going around”. 4. Mau Bayar, jadinya berapa? : I wanna pay, how much is it? I notice that you struggled a bit in that Nasi Goreng shop, use this when paying. 4. Nggak Ngerti : I don’t understand 5. Bisa Inggris? : Can you speak in English? 6. Saya mau minta tolong : Can you help me please? 7. ……… dimana? : Where is …….. located? So basically if you need to ask where is what, just add dimana behind what you’re looking for (Toilet dimana? : Where’s Toilet, ATM dimana? : Where’s ATM?, Josie Dimana? : Where’s Josie?. If you want to be polite, always add Permisi in front of everything, for example: - Permisi, Saya Mau Bayar, jadi berapa? : Excuse Me, I wanna pay, how much is it? - Permisi, Dimana toiletnya? : Excuse me, where’s the toilet?

As I observed on your vlog there in indonesia is that indonesia has a similarity on the phillippines on being energetic and friendly vibes only thing i observe is the language barrier ... Specially on the locals not like in the Phillippines locals here always fine a way to communicate on the foreigners ... But i think that is the challenge and joy on exploring places... Not everytime would be smooth sailing😅 ... The great things you can have on a adventures is the experience and the chances to learn everything about the locals as much as possible ... More experience more fun 😄😄😄 Good job guys i been learning alot from your adventure vlogs specially on my neighboring countries here in SouthEast Asia thank you 🥰 and keep it up...
