The digital tip jar is actually an amazing idea. So basically let's say you buy something online and it's $10.78. You actually get charged $11.00. The extra $0.22 goes into a virtual piggy bank. And at the end if each year, so collect all the money in your piggy bank, making it seem like you gain money. And 1% of all the money in your piggy bank goes towards the creator.

Never heard of it before, but from the way Amir explain, it sounds like everytime you go shopping and pay, you collect the little coins in a piggy bank, and then at the end of the year you get all your tiny amounts of money back all together, but rather then physically doing so with coins, you do it digitally.
