Patina is an arse kicking album from beginning to the end. I am so proud of Jake because despite of the tedious uncertainty of not knowing if he was ever recording again, he comes back with this superb album. They now have a real band feeling and Jake deserves to be in that leadership position.

The music sounds great! Great job everyone. A special kudos to Phil Varone, who has stated this is probably his best drumming ever, and that it was a fantastic music learning experience for him. Glad he got that before retiring from drumming. Nice way to finish. Strong!

You cannot overemphasize the importance of Max Norman on this. The man has a golden ear. I've always greatly enjoyed his mixing and such on most anything he's done, whether it was on the Megadeth albums, the Lynch Mob stuff....the list goes on and on.

Cool interview! Glad Phil joined Jake after playing with George for a while. Red Dragon will live way beyond when the next renaissance of listeners revisit 50-100 years from now! This is by far one of the BEST albums made for rock connoisseurs NOW & BEYOND! Release that shyt that didn't make it to this album!!! EP or something!

Thank you for that feedback! That’s exactly the goal with our interviews and features. There are so many great stories these bands and artists can share.. We hope to keep producing content like this for many years to come!

I can vouch for Patina. The band did a great job of this one. Better bass, better songwriting, better production quality, great variety. And yes, Darren Smith can actually sing and do it well, as this album goes on to prove. This album has it all! Great job, RDC!

Welcome back Jake! Sounding as sharp as ever. It's my hope that you will put past experiences in the music biz where they belong, in the past. Leaving Ozzys band was one thing, but getting cut out of the songwriting credits by Ozzy and Sharon is something else. I thought that Badlands could be something really special, and then to find out about the horrific situation involving Ray Gillen, resulting in Atlantic Records pulling the albums from circulation and refusing to reissue the material. But that's all behind you now Jake, the new band and music is world class! Here's hoping that you're back to stay. 👍👍

I saw Red Dragon Cartel this year 3/3/2019 at the Marque Theater at Tempe Arizona!!!! The band is better now than when I saw them in 2014!!!! Red Dragon Cartel's new album "Patina" is better than the Debut CD!!! The new CD is a good evolution and development of songs and cool sounds!!! "Jake!!!" "I think you got better as musician and as a lead guitarist in general!!!" "Jake!!!! Ya still got it dude!!!"☺☺☺☺☺😊😁😊😁

No doubt!!!! I saw them and got a chance to meet them. They started the Patina tour here in Reno.. My friends opened for them. Not only is the album amazing. The guys literally are the sweetest down to earth guys you'd be happy to meet.

Jake still rips better than anyone. Sick riffs, tons of feel and style. When he shreds, its like an explosion of raw power and energy rather than racing up and down scales. Dragonforce style soloing is amazing, but I’d take the lead on “Rumblin Train” any day of the week! Keep it going Jake!

To continue my positive comments!!! The debut CD was great!!! This new CD "Patina" is just as good and recommend it to any one who likes good music or a fan of Jake E. Lee!!!! Most bands put out a awesome debut CD and then the sophomore jinx hits and the second CD sucks!!!!😝😊😄😋

I need someone to tell Jake to put down the cigs. I know Jake you like smoking, I did, but late in life is time to call it a day with them. I am being selfish here because I want to see him play at least until I'm dead and I fear this won't happen if he keeps smoking. There are other things you can do in place of smoking cigs. Someone pass this on I would greatly appreciate it. Live long and prosper Jake!
@deadfishintree5 жыл бұрын
Amen, hope to see him play and have fun a long time but cigs won't help that!

Solid Album!!! I sure hope that the youngsters of today picking up a guitar are paying attention to riff masters like Jake and working to carry that torch forward. It ain't just about turning it to 11 and playing power chords.

Jake is my hero,i grow up with Jake's playing.i love Jake,i love Jake's guitar sound when he was in Ozzy. But,i think he could have better sound on these two albums. No need for those super expensive vintage guitars and amps. One guitar and one Axe Fx3 is more than enough to produce great sounds and great guitar parts.i know what i m saying as a professional musician. Love Jake...
