Even though I agree Dach is aweful this year, prior to this season, he was so much better, dominant for a good stretch, and he did have hockey sense. To me, it’s just a season to forget. I agree, he needs a reset. Let’s not forget until january last year, Slaf was aweful too, looked totally lost, and then it clicked. Caufield also has been awful until February 2022 under Ducharm, and then it clicked. He was not the same too last year returning from his shoulder surgery. I think we need to take a breath. But I agree, not a center man with these faceoffs. I think he will end up a great winger on our third line. Hage might be our future second line center, and until then, I really think Evans could do great between Laine and Demidov next year. With two elite offensive talent, he might thrive!

MSL pulled Xhekaj out of the lineup several times for much much less. Dach should not get special treatment...its bad for team unity. Sit his ass until he grows up.

I think the way you can help Dach, is pullout the videos of last year plays and this year to show his mistakes. Perhaps that could help right? Am I wrong or not?

Tony, if you had the same injury as Kirby, you couldn't even make it to your chair. It took Josh a full year to recover from his injury (that's his words). Dach's injury was worse and he wont fully recover until next season. If he is pushed too hard this season, it will delay his recovery. Get off his back!

Enough of this Kirby third line Kirby 4th line. Kirby needs to sit out for 20 games. Maybe he’s not ready and needs more rehab, maybe his head is not on right. Sit him already! He can’t play like this. It looks bad for the young kids to see him keep playing.

If Montreal beats Detroit again saturday, they will have lost 2 spots at the draft (from 5th to 7th). This might be the difference between drafting a key piece for the futur vs just filling a need. However, the schedule will be much harder after the Christmas holliday...time will tell !!!

So Tony says not enough seen in Dach even before Injury to call him a center. From the same guy talking him up as a possible top line C ahead of Suzuki. Same tired chat every episode now. Show me all these other players in Hockey or Sport that come back from an ACL oandMCL inside of 3 months back playing. Two years it took the best Defender in the English Permier league to get back to anything like his pre injury form and that's less physical than hockey and is less stress through the knees. Laine's barely moving too (expected) and not even trying to play the 200ft game but that's ok because he can score on the PP.

Dock and Primeau remind me of a simillar situation but Dock is coming back from a serious injury i must admit. not obvious mentally in his game.

Stop liking your own comments. Jake Evans is literally a perfect 4th line maybe 3rd line center he'll get like 2-3m AAV well worth it for how good he is defensively.

Evans is a perfect 4th line centre. Hage and Beck should eventually be our 2-3 hopefully. That puts Nick and number 1. Dach had a big hill to climb and if he doesn’t get started he’s going to get left behind (when it comes to centre)
